This location is perfect if you want to drive and spend a few days exploring the Alentejo. Multiple towns are nearby. Evora is a great all day trip, including the megaliths outside of town, and you get to leave all the guided groups behind. Elvas is a wonderful town very near the border with Spain. Villa Real is a gem. Arraiolos is known for weaving rugs. Evoramonte is close by and has terrific views. All of these towns are hilltop towns with castles. The regional wine is terrific, the cork industry is fascinating, the olives, oranges, and lemons, are great, and you are in the middle of the area of marble quarrying. The towns are predominantly full of white buildings with mustard or blue trim and lot and lots of marble. Fica’s place is comfortable, quiet, and has restaurants, bakeries, drugstores, and small shops just steps away.

We loved our stay in Evora at Jorges place!! From the start communication was excellent and he provided some really wonderful recommendations we took advantage of. The place was spacious and well appointed; the welcome bottle of wine was a perfect touch! It was a little rainy so we didnt make use of the courtyard or little balcony as much as we would have liked but I imagine these are lovely in sunny weather. Location was perfect for us - short walk from large free parking (next to aqueduct!) and right around the corner from a lot of sites. We had a great time in Evora and would definitely stay at Jorges place again!

Stayed 1 night with two friends as a first stop of our road trip to Spain. It was the perfect location to enjoy the great restaurants and ambience of Estremoz. Located close to the central square for easy parking and opposite the beautiful fountains and park.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The remote location gave us the privacy and peace we needed for a perfect getaway. The pool was refreshing and beautifully maintained, and the grill area was fantastic for relaxing meals outdoors. Edite was an absolute sunshine: warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Plus, her homemade honey was delicious and a real treat. Everything about the place felt luxurious yet cozy, making it easy to unwind and enjoy our time fully. We can’t wait to come back! However many days you’ve booked - book an extra day, it’s worth it!

Great stay at Luis's place, everything was perfect. The house is absolutely charming, typical and located in the beautiful little village of the potters Sao Pedro Do Corval. Delicate attention from Luis upon arrival. I would recommend it 100%.

Very nice house! Very cozy, with a nice outdoor space with a table, hammock, armchair, pool, barbecue and shower. Very well equipped, they left us everything we needed for a comfortable stay. With good air conditioning, impeccable showers and bathrooms. Good location in a quiet village, 30 minutes from the beaches of Comporta and Carvahal. 100% recommended!

We had an awesome stay at Edite's house. The house is located in a small village named Arez, which is an excellent location to use as a base to explore the Alentejo region. Many interesting places (beautiful beaches, ruins, historical sites, etc.) are within 30 minutes or an hour drive thus making this location ideal for day trips. The house is super super clean and the kitchen is well equipped. The quiet outdoor area, with amazing views of rice fields and countryside, is ideal for enjoying an outdoor meal. The beds are comfortable and even the beautiful cotton linens were pressed! Our host (Edite) was such a pleasure to get to know as she is so personable and accommodating. If you're looking for a quiet and relaxed environment surrounded by friendly people, Edite's house is the place. We've stayed in many Airbnbs over the years, and this property stands out as one of the best. A huge thank you to Edite for helping to make our Portuguese vacation a wonderful experience!!!
