What you'll do
This is a guided tour of our extraordinary dream project - making a successful vineyard in Norway. When you arrive at Slinde Vineyard you will be greeted by the eccentric Bjørn and Halldis. They will talk about the vineyard and their experiences creating this amazing place. You will take a walk in the surrounding farmland seeing the vines - and hopefully grapes - listening to Bjørn and Halldis talk about the adventure it has been to create this place. Maybe you will also get a free taste of the gold medal winning white wine "Lydia". We will serve crackers with cheese that compliments our wines. Depending on the weather we will sit outside on the beautiful vineyard or inside a cosy old cottage.
Me, Bjørn (the father of Leif Erik), and my companion, Halldis, have over the past 5 years built what will soon become the northern most commercial vineyard in the world - and we have done it with our own two hands. My dream has long been to create a wine from locally grown grapes in the Sognefjord - 61.1 degrees north. In 2014 my partner, Halldis, told me i should just go ahead and do it, and she would help me make it happen. When we found the most suitable land for our vineyard, we immediately started working and now we have won a gold medal in a wine tasting competition for our white wine "Lydia".
We will provide some crackers and cheese. This illustrates what goes with our wines.

Where you'll be
The tour will take place in spectacular fjord landscape on a picturesque farm area called Slinde. From old times this has been a fruit growing community and now wine grapes are among the varieties found here. If you are lucky (depending on the time of year) you will be able to taste other locally grown produce.
