What we’ll do

I'm a passionate hiker and have climbed some of mexicos highest volcanoes. Our guides will take you through the most stunning landscapes. We would begin with an early start by driving to the base of our mountain and after some safety instructions we begin our hike at your pace. Few times in life we have the opportunity to climb somewhere with such high altitude and so good physical condition…

Make sure you have an energy packed breakfast. Oatmeal is always a great option. Bring your own camera, hiking boots, warm clothing, sun block, sunglasses

Helmets & trekking poles Hiking boots, warm clothes etc are not included and clients must bring their own ensuring it is suitable for high altitude.

What to bring

Warm waterproof outdoor jacket or windbreaker - depending on time of year
Hiking boots or sneakers/shoes with a good grip
Breathable layers
Sun Block
Sun Glasses
Buff or Scarf
Gloves (cold weather)
Warm socks

Where you'll be

We will scramble up to the lakes of the sacred mountain, Xinantécatl, better know as, Nevado de Toluca (4680m) where we will stop for a snack and then hike to one of the higher points where we will rest and enjoy the spectacular views before heading back down for some well earned tacos and cold beer.

Things to keep in mind

Cancellation policy

Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.

Communication policy

Always communicate through Airbnb. To protect your payment, never transfer money or communicate outside the Airbnb website or app.

Guest requirements

Up to 10 guests ages 18 and up can attend. Good health. Exercise on a regular basis. This is a high altitude activity and it is important to have some level of cardio resistance. We can offer a lighter option.

Government ID

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.
