What you'll do

We will meet at the Lamu Museum and take a walk through the UNESCO Town to explore arts and crafts shops in Lamu town. We will introduce you to local artists using both traditional art and those working on recycle art techniques. This includes traditional swahili wooden carving of the famous Lamu door. We will then proceed to Recycle Fish Art gallery where Abu Abu displays some of his works and end the tour at Abu’s workshop where he will provide a lesson on his art technique of recycle art and traditional Swahili lunch at his home. You will be able to make your own bespoke art and take it with you as a souvenir.

He has practiced art for over 6 years and is a renowned local craftsman. He has a local workshop and is a member of a local Jua Kali (craft) association where he displays his art.
