What you'll do
Join our cats for some literary and crafty family fun time! We’ll read a book together and then make a craft project based on the story using everyday materials you’re likely to already have at home. Activities will be geared towards families with children ages 2–9, and we would love to have parents involved as an extra set of paws to help with the crafts. Younger and older kids are welcome too—they’ll be given some special projects so the whole family can get in on the art-making. Family pets are not required, but we hope they join the fun!

Your host
Rachel
Cofounders of the Brooklyn Cat Cafe, Anne, Julia, and Rachel have rescued, bottle-fed, medicated, and loved more cats and kittens than we can count. We’ve created an adoption space over the last three years where our rescue animals thrive, receive endless affection, socialize with each other and visitors from all over the world, and find “furever” homes. We’re the only non-profit cat cafe in New York State and we’re entirely volunteer-run. Our core group of volunteer supervisors are knowledgeable experts who are passionate about animal rescue, and also about sharing their wide range of skills with you, with the participation of our rescue animals.
About the organisation
Brooklyn Cat Cafe
Brooklyn Cat Cafe is Brooklyn’s first cat cafe and the only one in New York State run by a non-profit animal rescue organization (Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition). BBAWC is a cooperative of individual animal rescuers working to reduce homeless animal populations through adoption, education, trap-neuter-return, and outreach. Brooklyn Cat Cafe is headquarters this rescue organization.
