About your host, 泰尧
I am Tai Yao, obsessed with the beauty of ancient calligraphy and art, I have been immersed in seal engraving, a traditional art of Chinese inheritance for 15 years. Because of the passion, I founded a workshop called Er Fen to share the knowledge and fun experience with people who're interested in the beauty.
What we’ll do
First, don't be intimidated by the new culture and art form. The 2 hour workshop is designed for beginners. I have prepared softer stone, Shoushan stone, which is easy to carve. When you're tired, you can sip some tea, have some local desert, play with our cats and feel the peaceful Hutong life together.(`・ω・´) I'll start with explaining the seal cutting and its history to you, then move on to in…
What I’ll provide
summer drink,coffee 󲀃
a Shoushan stone, seal cutting tools,a complete package of seals 󳀁

Where we’ll be
Our studio is located in the heart of the old Beijing hutongs, surrounded by Hou Hai Lake, Gu Lou/ Drum Tower, NanLuoGuXiang. There are a lot of local restaurants and locals living nearby. You can see how the local Beijinger live their life and grab local food in the restaurants.
