Welcome to this virtual onboard experience! We will introduce ourselves and our passions, check out the ever-changing views of life afloat at anchor somewhere in San Francisco Bay, tour the boat (virtually) and have an extensive Q and A about what it’s like to live, work, cruise and raise a family aboard a floating home at sea! We talk sustainability and minimalism in practice afloat too. If you’ve ever watched the YouTube sailing channels like La Vagabond or Delos and wondered if that could be the life for you, I can help you think about where and how to begin. I have been doing it over 20 years and my kids are also older now than most popular sailing vloggers, so I can attest to the pros and cons of raising a family at sea off grid! While not always smooth sailing, it is by far a better life in so many ways than what’s normal on land and I can truly say this life afloat is worth all the challenges it brings and more!
