What you'll do

My Origami workshop is great for groups, team-building! I've done with so many groups from companies and universities. If you can't find a suitable slot,
please contact me for a new date and time.

First, I'll show you how popular Origami is among the Japanese people.

And next, I'll show you the brief story and history of "1000 Origami cranes." You'll know why we find many them at Shinto Shrines and some War memorial parks all over Japan.

And then it's time to make "One thousand origami cranes" together!

It takes about 20 minutes to 30 minutes to make one crane. So in my Origami experience, let's do 1 to 3 Origami cranes depending on how fast you can make.

After making some Origami cranes, let's put them together by strings. If you want to make "One thousand origami cranes," you can keep going after my experience.

Historically, Japanese people make "One thousand origami cranes" for happiness, eternal good luck, long life or recovery from illness or injury. But this time, let's make and pray for the earliest convergence of COVID19.

I'll make thousands of cranes out of this Airbnb experience, and I'll take them to the famous Kasuga Taisha Shrine, and pray for the earliest convergence of COVID19, too!

After making Origami cranes, I can show you how to make Origami balloons and Ninja stars, too :)

I'm looking forward to e-meeting to you all soon!
Other things to note
Please make sure you have a flat table or something to work on Origami. And also the table has to be dry. If it's wet, we can't make Origami.

You can do it outside, but it should be a beautiful day! (No RAIN!)

When I was a kid, I was in delicate health, and I couldn't go out very often. So I played inside the house doing indoor activities.

One of them is making "Origami." I liked it, and I enjoyed that a lot!

When I was a child, I could make almost anything out of Origami, all kinds of animals, bugs, flowers, food, and so on. Maybe I could make more than 100 origami crafts by myself.

After 40 years, I forgot how to make most of them, but still, I remember how to make some.

Now we're suffering from the COVID19 disaster. And one of Origami crafts works for the earliest convergence of COVID19. That's "1000 cranes". Let's make them together!

Enchanting look into what a crane means to a Japanese person and a lovely slow-paced walk through of how to make them. Very enjoyable. Glad to have met Hiro and would thoroughly recommend

I really enjoyed my afternoon learning origami with Hiro. He was very friendly, and his explanations of how to make the cranes was clear and well-paced. It was a lovely relaxing experience.

This was a fun experience to celebrate a birthday in a socially-distant way with the bonus of family and friends from long distances being able to join! Hiro was patient, fun, and a great host.

Hiro was fantastic! Such a nice host, and constantly checked in on everybody to make sure they were on track! His stories were great, and you could tell he is super genuine and willing to help you. We ran quite a bit over time, but he never rushed, making sure we finished the origami pieces we wanted to!!

So good! I am an art teacher and I tried to teach myself and failed miserably. Hiro, to the rescue. An excellent teacher - we made two cranes and a ninja star - all in one hour! Terrific.

I had a lot of fun! Hiro was very sweet and made sure everyone was following along. I enjoyed seeing his coffeeshop and a little tour of the block outside too.
