What you'll do

On the 28 September over 400 Starfish (or Sea Stars) washed up on the local beach and were dying in the sun. Thank their lucky stars, Conservationist Terry Corr from AfriOceans arrives to Save them! In a race against time, Terry and his helpers rescue the starfish and place them in a nearby tide pool to recover for a few days. This is the incredible story of how Terry and the AfriOceans Warriors succeeds in saving 442 starfish by taking them out to sea and setting them free. There is a strong conservation message that resonates in this amazing story and provides some amazing knowledge about Starfish. Please feel free to ask questions . Then it’s time as we make our own starfish. Book a private experience for your group.
Other things to note
Obviously it would be far better to take you across the road and show you the incredible rocky shores we have here but because of lockdown due to COVID 19 we are restricted to being indoors. So I will be providing you an interactive educational experience based on science on your phone, tablet or PC

Terry's passion for marine conservation really shines through as he tells stories about the activism he has done and teaches you about the incredible creatures that live on the rocky shores! It's like learning from a nature documentary but you get to ask questions and talk to people from around the world ;).

What a fun experience! My son loves animals and immediately connected with Terry. He enjoyed hearing all about the penguins (and other animals) that call the waters around Cape Town home. The time flew by and Terry was kind enough to extend a few minutes to answer all questions and show us a fun tide pool craft project. Highly recommend!

A really wonderful experience! Terry was very kind and sweet, and he's extremely knowledgeable about the coast of SA, and the amazing animals that live there. My son and his friend had an amazing time with Terry, and Terry was great to patiently answer their questions and interact with them in a way that was appropriate for their age (they are 8 years old).
