What you'll do
Dive in and let me share my 18-year career in shark conservation, research, campaigning and education in this story-telling, Shark Smart quiz, creative drawing and fact-filled experience. Plus I will give you a copy of my book called 'SHARKS' for free!
You’ll find out how I went from being called Shark Bait to the Shark Warrior when a special shark named Maxine became my friend. You’ll learn about shark research as you follow Maxine’s journey to freedom when I satellite tagged her and set free after 9 years in captivity.
My photography will lead you on a virtual underwater dive into the warmest and the coolest oceans around the world to meet many extraordinary sharks, including living dinosaurs! You’ll learn about these amazing animals, what threats they face, and why I need you to become a Shark Warrior and help me to save them.
I'll share stories about my travels to photograph different species of sharks around the world, how I love freediving with sharks, and I'll let you in on secrets behind some of my crazy shark awareness campaigns.
This is a fun educational experience suitable for all ages, adults and children alike. It compliments lessons linked to social and natural sciences or art, or is simply for those curious to know more about sharks and the people who work with them. Most importantly you'll be supporting the conservation work of our nonprofit.

I love the ocean and sharks!
I'm an award-winning conservationist, best known as the Shark Warrior because of my passionate efforts in shark conservation. Because I wanted to help save the oceans I founded a nonprofit organisation, AfriOceans, which focuses on ocean conservation.
I'm also an author of children's books and educational books, an underwater and wildlife photographer, and a dive travel and expedition leader.
I love freediving with sharks!
I'm proud to be a Fellow of The Explorers Club, an inductee of the Women Divers Hall of Fame, and a PADI Ambassadiver.
I established Shark Warrior Adventures, a responsible tourism business and self-funding initiative of AfriOceans that aims to reconnect people to Nature through transformative wildlife experiences. I love sharing my passion for the oceans, and of sharks in particular.

"Because we're in lockdown, and I can't take you for a dive with sharks, this experience takes place in my home, Soulmate by the Sea, which overlooks False Bay, the home of the mighty Great white sharks!
From here I will lead you on a virtual experience through magical kelp forests, tropical waters, and the icy Arctic to meet and learn about all kinds of different sharks, and one very special shark in particular. (Request a time if not listed)"
