What you'll do
Welcome to The Bibliotherapy Experience, an interactive discussion for compassionate introverts (aka book nerds). Our nuanced opinions often get lost in a sea of louder voices, but now it's your time to shine in a safe space. Think of this experience as a private talk show for readers.
Before the discussion, you'll be asked to fill out a questionnaire, so I can get to know you a little better. I'll take those insights and craft a custom-tailored discussion based on our collective interests. This is very similar to what I do as a TV showrunner. It's like being the crazy-haired conductor for a symphony of talented people.
My role as the moderator is to identify your unique point of view and empower your voice in a group setting. After our introductions, we'll move into a round table format. I'll prompt each guest with book-related questions based on their individual interests. I want to connect with you and learn about the stories that shaped you.
Toward the end of our discussion, everyone will get a few minutes to pitch one of their favorite books to the group. After the experience, I'll follow up with an extensive list of Bibliotherapy recommendations on a Google doc, and I'll keep adding to it as our community grows.

Your host
Connor
Over the last 10 years, I’ve been a show creator, executive producer, published author, showrunner, creative director, and brand strategist. Sometimes I create comedy shows like Workaholics on Comedy Central and Let's Get Physical on Pop TV, and other times I get hired by brands to help them tell better stories.
My life has been shaped by bibliotherapy, the art of reading books for the purpose of healing and evolving. Books like The War of Art by Steven Pressfield and Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott changed the way I approach my creativity. I designed this bibliotherapy workshop to help you grow as a reader, writer and human being. Our guided discussions will help you make new friends and discover life-changing books.

"Since reading is synonymous with coziness, I encourage you to be in a comfortable state. Join us in sweatpants, pajamas or oversized sweaters from your favorite couch or reading nook. Like Whose Line Is It Anyway, I'll award completely arbitrary Hygge points for guests who look the most cozy and comfortable. So don't be afraid to introduce that lap cat."
