What you'll do

You will learn how to make many types of homemade pasta in a real laboratory of pasta, reviewed among the "best 10 pastificio in Rome" . In a maximum 8 people class, we will start with handmade pasta, made with different kind of flours: like ancient grain Triticum Monococcum, Grano Saraceno (buckwheat) and wholemeal flour. We will do thin sheets dough, explanation of safe food cutting procedures, realization of three types of ravioli, tortellini, fettuccine with two tipical italian sauces. The experience includes a delicious tasting of local cheese or homemade prosciutto hand cut.
We can also accomodate GLUTEN allergy guests for a very tasty fresh pasta and VEGAN guests for pasta without eggs.
We will cook all pasta and the sauces made during the class, eating our differents kind of pasta done, sipping good italian wine. An express tiramisu preparation will follow as a dessert. Moreover, to all the participants will be offered complimentary, the exclusive Professional Chef Hat with logo of "Pastificio Faini" and also the apron with logo. In additional to the regular program, everyday of the week a different version will be presented: Monday-Wednesday-Saturday Carbonara sauce; Tuesday-Friday Cacio e Pepe sauce; Thursday gnocchi!

Where you'll be

Pastificio Faini is shop where we make and prepare pasta. Is located in the historic district of San Lorenzo in Rome, just 10 minutes walk from the metro station Vittorio Emanuele and liked by many bus like number 71 that run in the center. I will wait you in my laboratory.

The workshop was fun and awesome! Emanuele was a very friendly, personable and enthusiastic chief. His passion for making pasta was inspiring and authentic. My husband and I enjoyed his stories and beautiful studio! Most of all, the taste of the pasta at the end was the BEST part of the experience! It was sooooo goooddddd!! I would highly recommend to everyone.

This was a great way to learn the differences in pasta production that affects quality. Very fun class, wonderful host, easy for beginners and great setting. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful and unique experience. Emmanuele is not only passionate about pasta but caring greatly that his participants actually learn and understand everything. Small group, relaxed and fun atmosphere. Only to recommend when in Rome.

This was by far the most amazing cooking class that my wife and I have ever attended, and we’ve been to dozens! Emanuele was so engaging, friendly and attentive while sharing his skills and techniques of making the most delicious pasta we have ever tasted. We make hand rolled pasta that we then made into ravioli, tortellini, and fettuccine. The filling for the ravioli and tortellini was a delightful spinach and ricotta with Parmesan. Our host catered to our every request, serving a wonderful red wine during our class, and answering all of our questions. Once made, we sat down to a fine dinner of all the pasta we had just created, along with some more wine, both red and white. Finishing off the evening, Emanuele made us the most tasty tiramisu. Everyone in our class got along great, with lively conversation and fun interaction. I would rate this class six stars if that were possible!! If you are looking for an amazing pasta making class in Rome, look no further!
