What you'll do
Upon arrival you will take a tour of the sanctuary, I will explain the daily routine and you will meet the animals and learn about their care and how they came to reside here. You will learn about their lives in factory farms and other trends that have caused them to end up in sanctuaries. You will then have the opportunity to interact with them one on one. We know it will be hot so feel free to jump in the pool in your clothes if you wish, and you will keep cool the whole time.
As far as I can remember I have always loved animals and had a myriad of pets. I later started volunteering at an animal sanctuary and then in 2014 I started my own sanctuary. Running a sanctuary has to taught me to be keenly aware of the plight of these animals. I learned about the care of each species and often how to treat them myself when they take ill. In addition, there are many other aspects of keeping a sanctuary going that don’t involve direct animal contact which I will share with you.
