About your host, Wai Lei
I can't live without coffee, and figured the best way to enjoy it for life is by operating a cozy cafe and sharing my passion with others. I love chatting with customers and friends over a good cup of cappuccino. But growing up with traditional coffee has also taught me to appreciate the different perspective people have on what a good cup of coffee could be.
What we’ll do
We will visit a hawker center to enjoy local coffee with runny eggs and kaya-buttered toast. There we will order coffee from my favourite stall that serves coffee roasted and brewed the traditional way. I'll share the different ways coffee is enjoyed by the locals and you will be able to sample some of them. Next we will drop by a mini exhibit of nostalgic "kopitiam" showcasing some of the equipme…

Where we’ll be
We'll be spending some time at a bustling hawker center above one of the oldest wet markets in Singapore having a light morning snack from my go to fix for traditional coffee. We'll then take a train to the business district that was developed in the 1820s and visit my cozy little cafe.
