About your host

I am a bike activist, an associate member of Transporte Ativo, with whom I published 2 mobile apps for Android devices. About 2 years ago, together with a few friends, we decided it was time to make some carbon-free experiencing tours gathering what Rio had the best to offer: to cycle at our beautiful beaches bike-paths, to immerse in a hike at Rio's lush forest and to socialize by a sea-side bar

What we’ll do

We’ll cycle along the promenade of the famous Copacabana beach to understand the character of the neighborhood and then head towards Morro da Urca. We’ll hike up the hill to get a close look at the local vegetation and wildlife, and if desired we'll take the cable car to Sugar Loaf from there. Since we'll have reached the first hill by foot, it’s cheaper when take the ride from there to the second…

What else you should know

Be sure to bring sunscreen, water and comfortable walking shoes.

Where you'll be

We'll start at Copacabana, then hike to Morro da Urca to discover Rio's urban forest and take the cable car to Sugar Loaf. To close the day, we’ll stop by Mureta da Urca to drink and hang with the locals.
