What you'll do

As people arrive they will be greeted with love n experience a cleansing ritual of smoke with sage or frankincense to clear their energy before entering the back yard where the Temple and stage are located. A circle will be formed and Nana Sula will open with the pouring of libation n traditional prayers honoring all traditions, religions and the earth. She will then introduce the Temple, its purpose n history n give them a tour of inside of the Shrine. Once seated Nana will begin an interactive workshop/show teaching songs in African languages for the forces of nature or the Orisha. Nana will teach chants from her book Spirit of the Orisha. People will then have refeshments like water n juice n tour the gallery of Mardi Gras Indian Beadwork, paintings, spiritual items and more inside the temple. There will be artwork n spiritual items available for sale. The night will end with a final spiritual clearing as they leave. Its unique. It's powerful. It's spiritual n musical. It's interactive. Folks will see New Orleans Indian beadwork n history n get blessed all at the same time. It's a winner!
