What you'll do

DUE TO AN EARLIER FIRE IN WOLLEMI NATIONAL PARK, THIS PARK HAS BEEN CLOSED SINCE NOVEMBER 2019. ONCE IT WILL HAVE RE-OPENED, WE WILL BE STARTING TO OFFER OUR GLOW WORM TUNNEL TRACK TOUR (This last update was made on May 16, 2020) Escape the noisy city life and avoid the busy weekend crowds around the scenic hot spots of the Blue Mountains to follow us to a very peaceful and idyllic part of the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area, the Wollemi National Park with its tranquil Glow Worm Tunnel Track and an historic, 400 meter long railway tunnel lit by thousands of glow worms. This track is a not difficult (Grade 3) round walk of 6.6 miles (10.7km) which takes 4 hours whereby the 320m elevation gain is a good exercise for those who love hiking. Our interpretive guided tour is specifically designed for very small groups of maximum three participants to get a most personal experience on the walking track as well as during the journey of 50 miles (80km) from Katoomba to the west in our well equipped Landcruiser. Enjoy unspoiled nature and learn about the history, geology, flora and fauna of this gorgeous part of the World Heritage Area. There will also be plenty of opportunities for great photo shots including wild kangaroos and wombats.

Wolfgang

"Wolfgang and Hedi know the ins and outs of the Blue Mountains and have expert knowledge in local flora and fauna as well as geology of the area. They took great care in giving our group a once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget". Thank you to Anna for her nice comment on our weekday tour Blue Mountains Amazing Hiking Tracks. Since tracks in the Blue Mountains tourist area getting quite busy on weekends, visiting the Glow Worm Tunnel Track in a remote part of the UNESCO World Heritage Area is then the perfect escape from the crowds. Wolfgang and Hedi, the only local tour guide couple in the Blue Mountains, are passionate hiking enthusiasts with a Parks Eco Pass license for guided walking tours awarded by the NPWS, supporting the Australian Conservation Foundation by making a donation for every hiking tour conducted.
