This charming cocoon-like house dates from the 14th century and has been entirely renovated for more than 2 years by the best craftsmen of the city with all the noblest materials, such as zellige (handmade tiles), cedar wood, sculpted plaster, tadelakt and wrought iron. The lamps are made of bronze and are totally hand carved, the leather poufs and sofas are from local tanneries.

I felt like this palace was my home, only in heaven…so peaceful and serene and at the same time inspiringly beautiful. Hasna, her mother Sanae, and the whole family are such lovely people . Sanae is a talented cook and everything was beautifully presented. It was a wonderful experience, much more than I expected. I hope to return again.

We had a very good stay at Zhor's. The accommodation is beautiful, faithful to the photos, clean, well decorated and really pleasant to live in. We immediately felt at ease there. Zhor is a very attentive host, always responsive and available, which is very reassuring when traveling. The residence is secure, with a gate and a security guard present 24 hours a day, very kind and helpful — it's a real plus! Just one small detail to keep in mind: the soundproofing is light, so it's best to avoid making too much noise. In short, a beautiful and warm place that I recommend without hesitation!

I went to Fez with a group of colleagues working on a project. We stayed at Riad Elegance, a historic restored palace dating back to the 17th century. The moment you walk in, you’re transported to a beautiful courtyard built in the traditional Moroccan style, complete with a small pool at its center. Two floors of rooms rise gracefully around the courtyard which has beautiful zellij tile work and restored stucco ornamentation. As an art historian, I was in love! The Riad is maintained and managed by two lovely people, Abdullatif and Aicha. They are so warm, hospitable, and genuinely caring toward all the guests. Aicha also offers an optional, paid dinner service—she’ll cook a traditional Moroccan meal using fresh ingredients from the market. The dinner she prepared for us—I can still remember all the flavors! They treated us like family. For a great experience, a relaxing vacation, and a little adventure in Fez with a peaceful retreat to return to each evening, choose this Riad!
