A very cosy, comfortable cottage with well considered, stylish touches that made it a thoroughly delightful place to stay. The beds were very comfortable, with thick toppers, plentiful pillows and luxurious bedding. There was plenty of hot water, and a good shower. Susan was welcoming and proactively helpful - both in providing additional cookware for a particular recipe I wanted to make, and in sourcing a new firestick for the TV so we could access Netflix. All in all, a lovely and peaceful haven for our mini-break in Scotland.

Beautiful home in a wonderful location! Just a short drive to St. Andrews. House was immaculate and very comfortable. Great spot for families! Our son adored the garden, playset, and toys. Highly recommend!

A haven in the Scottish countryside, this cottage was completely charming. Loved that the resident sheep come and go from their pasture at their pleasure. Very friendly hosts provided everything required. Fairly convenient to Dunfermline for groceries and trains into Edinburgh. Thank you!

We had a great stay in the cottage of David and Fiona with a group of friends playing golf in the area! Because of the ideal location, numerous golf courses were within a 10-15 min drive of the cottage. The cottage is very private and spacious, well decorated, and comes with a large garden, a well equipped kitchen and two beautiful bathrooms. Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend staying in this cottage!

We stayed at Maggies for a long weekend as my husband was running the Edinburgh Marathon. We have family in Perth who were coming down to join us so it was the perfect location in between Perth and Edinburgh! Maggie met us on arrival and was so lovely. The house is amazing and the location peaceful and perfect for our two families to get together. The kids enjoyed the swing and slide and the lovely garden to run about! The the views are amazing!! Maggie has thought of everything it was like home from home! Would love to return in the future!

The view from our house is simply breathtaking! You can see the entire city of Edinburgh across the bay. We love sitting on the lawn in front of the house, enjoying the gentle summer breeze. It only takes about 40 minutes to drive to Edinburgh Center, and it’s absolutely worth it for the amazing view. Our host is kind and responsive, and we wish we could stay there longer.

The Shiel House was an absolutely stunning and massive property. We visited as a large group of 8 on a golf trip, and this was the perfect Airbnb. It was beyond spacious, with all the amenities a large group would need for a week long stay. The location was great for us with popular golfing destinations like St Andrews and Gleneagles within driving distance, as well as a litany of local courses. We also were within driving distance of Edinburgh with plenty of fine dining options. Tim was a very gracious and helpful host who provided clear instructions on locating the property, as well as a fun treasure hunt that takes you around the property and to local spots. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with the property and the host!!

We had a lovely 5 night stay! Check in was fine, no problems. The interior is very comfortable and tastefully designed displaying original art and all furnishings are of a high quality. The kitchen is large with everything one would need to prepare a complex meal, excluding condiments and spice, so bring your own. Oil, coffee and salt and pepper are provided. The bedrooms are nice and comfy. The steel tub, in one of the bedrooms, is splendid. Plus there’s plenty of hot water to fill it! We sat in the pretty garden, it’s lush with mature shrubs and flowering plants…but be aware of the stinging nettle. My dog got her paws badly stung and I had brushed into some myself for a whole day of annoying tingling. Bring some Benadryl just incase. If you’re avid walkers, definitely explore the grounds, gardens, pond and tower, all stunning. It’s a large holding, lots to explore. Alexander was very responsive and accommodating. But book now, we noticed future prices are going up!

Great accomodation, very comfortable, well equipped, cosy and spacious. We had a great stay here, really lovely location. This will now become a favourite for us on our trips home to Scotland.

We had the loveliest stay. The Hut is cozy, peaceful and really well equipped – we had everything we could possibly need, including all the bits for a delicious breakfast. The bed was super comfy with a beautiful view to wake up to. The bathroom was spotless. Even on rainy days, you can truly relax, reading by the window (there’s a great collection of books in the Hut) and enjoying the view, and we were even lucky enough to catch a double rainbow one evening. The surroundings are beautiful and so quiet, perfect for switching off and recharging. Alison and David were amazing, so warm and welcoming, we felt really looked after. Thank you so much, we’ll definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay at Karen’s cottage. Karen was great with her communication and very helpful! The cottage was fully equipped with everything we needed and was in immaculate condition. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us staying there. The living room has comfy sofas and chair and lovely views out into the countryside- the sunsets were beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy home cooked meals and space for us all to sit around the table. The bedrooms were huge and the beds are the comfiest we have all slept in! The cottage is in a lovely, peaceful setting and is just a 15 minute drive into St Andrews. Would 100% recommend Karen’s cottage and will be sure to return!

Had booked this for a family get-away of 3 couples. It was the room setup with en-suites for all 3 couples that made this the perfect choice, along with the quiet surroundings. Very much like a Tardis, in that from the front doesn't look too big, but so much space within. My only comment would be about the standard check-out time of 10am (which we were aware of when booking). Meant we didn't get much opportunity for a lie in or breakfast prior to having to pack up. Slightly later standard check-out time (without cost) would be only change to recommend. Despite that though, would very much look to book this again in the future, as it met all our needs

Just returned from a wonderful weekend with family and friends at Gellyburn Cottage. The house was spacious and easily accommodated 9 adults and 2 small dogs. It was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very well appointed. It had everything we needed for our get together. The great supply of board games kept us entertained in the evening. There is a lovely enclosed garden (safe for the dogs) and a large BBQ with picnic benches. I highly recommend Gellyburn Cottage and we hope to return in the future.

This cottage is a great hideaway, in countryside and quiet. But easy to get to many places to visit - beaches, walking, big houses, small towns. Cottage itself was very well appointed with all we needed, but not over-cluttered. Great extras were welcome foods, natural wash products AND lots of birds on the feeders. Sue and Rob were friendly and helpful hosts

There are not enough words to accurately describe how incredibly beautiful this property is.. the owner dropped by to make sure everything was ok, this is a do not miss opportunity when going to Scotland. For larger or smaller groups he has it setup to where you can rent one of the cottages or two. Our party of 14 had plenty of room! The children loved the game room, the adults loved the mountain range and the beautiful landscapes. I think I left a little bit of my heart there.. I really am in hopes of returning to this amazing country side home. So a big thank you, to Johnny for a wonderful holiday!

The Arches was a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable space which allowed us to really relax and switch off. We particularly liked the hot tub and, due to the amazing weather while we were there, we even got to sit in the private courtyard and eat breakfast outdoors. The property has everything you could need. Good kitchen and comfy sofa in the living room. The bed is very comfortable and huge! Fab shower and bath set up. We enjoyed a walk up the hill where the views were stunning. Would recommend this walk. We went into Cupar for lunch one day and ate in the Boudingait which was very tasty food. Would recommend. We would definitely return to The Arches. We’ve been to a lot of AirBnB properties and this is up there with the best we’ve been to. Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful location, with stunning views of Fife countryside and over to St Andrews and the sea. Lovely cosy lodge that easily accommodated our family very comfortably. Incredibly well equipped kitchen. The outdoor play area was a great bonus and our children spent lots of time playing on the tractor and trampolines in the Fife sunshine. Short drive from St. Andrews. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay at the Pitmeadow Farm was fantastic, and Fiona and Ewan were excellent hosts. The property is beautiful, and the ability to stroll around the property and see all of the farm animals was a true highlight of our time in the UK. The farm is a very family-friendly place to stay, and is in a great location just an hour from Edinburgh, and accesible to many of the scenic areas in northern Scotland. Highly recommend this location for anyone hoping to see the best of Scotland!

Freda and Philip were fantastic hosts. They were incredibly helpful from the initial run-up to our stay, messaging about how best they could help us, to checking in and providing us with local recommendations. The Shiel itself was absolutely stunning, both inside and out. It had everything we needed, was so clean and had a lovely outdoor area. It was a perfect stay for our family (incl a baby and a dog) would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

From the minute we arrived to a hands free check in and opening the lock this place was the most amazing we’ve been! From the house martins swooping around all day and chirping, the cows munching in the field , the pheasant calling, the hares running all around, the walks, the loch, the hot tub, the house with beautiful bathrooms and linens. We came home with a tan and a heart full of beautiful memories. My 6 year loved it here and the games room and surroundings kept him going all day. You don’t need to spend lots of money on fancy days out cause it’s all there free on the doorstop. Thankyou
