Guest house holiday rentals in Garden Route District Municipality

We recently stayed at Cherry's guest house/lodge, which is a nicely maintained property with a clean and well-equipped common kitchen. However, our experience was marred by a booking mix-up. Despite having paid for two rooms for the night, we were only allocated one. We presented our receipt as proof, but unfortunately, the issue wasn't resolved, and our request for a refund for the second room was declined. We're still unsure whether the error was on Airbnb's side or Cherry's, but we wanted to caution future guests to double-check their bookings to avoid similar issues. While Cherry's property has its strengths, we hope that she will take steps to prevent such misunderstandings and ensure a smoother experience for her guests.

Erna’s place up in the trees was extremely beautiful- we loved the location and forest sounds of birds and frogs. It was the perfect place to spend the night before starting the otter trail. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to relax in Natures Valley

Pieter was a friendly host that made sure that we felt at home immediately. He accommodated us although we arrived later than expected. I was pleasantly surprised when he offered to spray the dew off our car to ensure our safe continuation of our roadtrip. Thanks again Pieter.

A tranquil place of rest in the hills of Hoekwil

we had a wonderful, restful stay in beautiful surroundings. The space is as per the photographs with everything you will require. Natalie is a kind and caring host and we aim to return as soon as we can!

Lovely bachelor type accommodation. Has everything you need. Beautiful setting and a quick drive into the village. The caretaker was pleasant and helpful.

Neat , well equipped accommodation. Staircase, but we had no trouble carrying luggage. Undercover parking a bonus. We did not spent a lot of time at the accommodation. Appreciate the coffee/tea station.

We had an incredible time at Andrew's place! The accommodation is spacious, with a large balcony offering breathtaking views of the Wilderness forest, mountains, and ocean. During the day, we worked remotely, then explored Wilderness and its surroundings, returning in the evening to enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset. The co-host, Maria, was absolutely wonderful—warm, welcoming, and friendly. We were thrilled to extend our stay for an extra night and truly felt at home. It's our favourite holiday spot in Wilderness so far, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

Martin and Iris are great hosts . It was very easy to communicate with them from first booking and throughout the trip, and couldn’t have been more accommodating during our stay.The apartment itself is beautiful with great sea and mountain views from the kitchen/living room and veranda We had a 4 months old baby and everything worked out perfectly.. The check-in //out process was excellent I would definitely recommend Martin's apartment to others.

We had an amazing stay! The holiday home is set in a beautiful, peaceful location surrounded by nature, providing the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The decor was lovely, and the space was well-maintained and inviting. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and friendly, ensuring we felt welcome throughout our stay. The property is ideally situated—far enough from town to enjoy tranquility, yet close enough to beaches, shops, and other attractions for convenience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely recommend it to others. Looking forward to visiting again in the future!

Amazing stay with Cheryl and Paul. They were so friendly and inviting - they came out to greet us personally on arrival and went above and beyond with extra little touches of hospitality. We will definately be back for another visit when we are in the area. Only thing to note is the dirt road, although in great condition and very smooth (like a highway in our 4x4), may not be enjoyed as much by some people in small or low cars.

Stunning accommodation for an escape to nature. It was easy to locate and the hosts were friendly and welcoming.

It was a lovely stay at Aneryne's cottage. We loved the view from the terrace, the vibrant wildlife around us and really enjoyed all the amenities this little gem had to offer. Aneryne and her little darlings were wonderful hosts - super friendly, fun and very helpful with tips about the area. We will definitely come back if we are in the Knysna area again and would highly recommend a stay.

The house of Wesley is beautiful with amazing views! We had a nice time there. Especially on the terrace while having a braai. Joyce cleaned up very often and everything was really comfortable.

I had a fantastic stay at Karoo Kraaltjie! The space was incredibly spacious and well thought out. The bed was super comfortable, and the shower was on point. Loved the privacy and the nice desk for working. Plus, the thoughtful touch of providing tea, coffee, and milk made my morning even better. Highly recommend!

We had a very comfortable overnight stay at Jeanne and Tony's apartment. Beautifully decorated and well thought out and designed accommodation lacking nothing to provide a memorable experience in Grootbrak River. Jeanne is a kind and very friendly host and went the extra mile to make us feel at home. We thought the pictures did not give full justice to this lovely apartment as its really much nicer in real life. Nothing to fault. We'd recommend Jeanne and Tony's place to all guests out there. We'll most certainly visit again should we visit this part of the beautiful Garden Route again.

Our stay with Sonet was fantastic, our 5 border collies were accommodated due to the fenced garden in front. This was one of our main criteria. Thank you. The space was modern, well equipped and functional. Was great that the property had solar power backup should lead shedding have come our way. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and air fryer, microwave oven. Close to the beach although during our time there the walk way was under repair due to flood damage (municipal responsibility). Loved our stay and especially the peace and quiet and closeness to beach. Felt right at home. Great hosts will return

Mi Amor is such a beautiful space with these gorgeous glass walls that open fully onto the garden. So much wonderful attention to detail. We felt right at home! Loved cooking there also. Everything was spotlessly clean and Russel our host was a superstar. Being able to stroll directly onto the stunning beach was a real privilege! Highly recommended.

It's often when things don't go perfectly that you can truly appreciate a great host, and Sally is a perfect example of this. We unfortunately experienced an unexpected issue during our stay. However, Sally was incredibly responsive and proactive in offering reasonable solutions. We really appreciated her dedication to making things right, and she ultimately resolved a situation beyond our expectations. Her helpfulness truly turned a potentially frustrating experience into a super positive one. We were very grateful for her efforts and would definitely recommend staying at any property managed by Sally.
