Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The house was incredibly quiet, which made for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. I absolutely loved the aesthetic—thoughtfully designed, cozy, and full of charm. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, which made it feel even more comfortable. Highly recommend if you're looking for a serene and stylish place to unwind!

This was an absolutely unforgettable place. Anthony and his wife, Shannon, were perfect hosts. They left a binder with plenty of great recommendations of places around the area to check out, and on our first night when we were out shopping for groceries, they were more than happy to provide some essentials (cooking oil, spices, etc.)! The place itself feels so cozy and was an excellent little getaway. I ended up proposing to my girlfriend (now fiancée) here, and Anthony and Shannon left us so gorgeous flowers and a note as a congratulations. I really can’t speak higher of this place. It’s so welcoming and you really can’t find nicer, more respectful hosts. TLDR: easily the best stay in San Diego! You’re going to love it!

I loved this home! It’s far enough away from the business of Orange Ave but close enough to join in on the fun by walking!! I loved walking to Coronado Beach everyday ☀️

Very quiet location perfect for a family. Walkable to some good spots in South Park, including coffee, Target, and a market. Great base for getting into downtown and exploring Balboa Park. Really appreciated the beach equipment too! Quick responses whenever we had issues.

Wonderful place to stay!! Check in instructions were incredibly clear, and the hosts very helpful and responsive to any questions I had. The pictures are a great representation of the place; very cozy, light filled, clean, and comfortable. I really enjoyed being within a short walking distance to Petco Park while still being able to explore some of the neighborhoods in San Diego easily. I would absolutely stay here again!! Thank you!

Ahmed's place was like being at home away from home. I was in San Diego for a conference at the SDCC. So I needed a place close by and also where I would feel secure, rest peacefully after a long day of sessions. Ahmed's place was 10 minutes away from my conference using Uber or Lyft. In the seven days I stayed at Ahmed's place, I always felt secure. I didn't see any homeless close by and the neighborhood is walkable to a great food truck that Ahmed recommended for dinner and he was right. It was delicious! Also found a convenient store for what I needed. Both on the same block and I highly recommend them too. Plus it was very quiet at night, so I could rest when coming back from the conference. Also a complete kitchen. So I prepared my meals when needed. I was even able to wash my clothes too. Thank you Ahmed for making my stay in San Diego so relaxed, secure and allowing me to stay in your cozy place. I hope to come back when in San Diego.

We had a great time staying in this cute place. It’s so unbelievably close to the best of San Diego - Hillcrest, Balboa Park, the farmers market, and more. We’ll definitely be coming back!

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION!!! My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Evan’s place! It was so convenient to everything in Little Italy, but still far enough away that the noise was greatly reduced. We very much appreciated Evan’s quick replies and the manual he provided for restaurants, entertainment, and points of interest. The one thing we missed was having a comfy chair or loveseat to sit on, but the location, cleanliness, affordability and Evan’s quick responses made up for it. Bonus - also conveniently located near both bus and rail transportation.

JP and Ana are responsive gracious hosts! Here for work travel and my place is exactly what I need. Close to north park, and quite at night to relax.

Great host, everything in terms of shops and restaurants are nearby and I would definitely stay here again!

Staying at wade’s was amazing. I felt comfortable in the neighborhood and in the retreat as well! Quiet and peaceful, bed was so comfortable I slept like a rock. Would highly recommend staying at Wade’s retreats!

We do not have enough words to describe our appreciation for our host Kay & how lovely our trip to this city was. Kay’s place was perfectly located for exploring & perfectly accommodating for 2 people. We want to gate keep this place for ourselves because of how wonderful the experience was but Kay deserves the recognition for being the most reliable & stellar host. Jessica’s place is great! Views are amazing. Place is clean. Location was perfect. And parking wasn’t too bad if you’re strategic with return times. Would recommend 12/10 times.

Amazing location and walkable to many good restaurants and local attractions. It was a bit noisy due to the location however earplugs were available in the unit. Beds were super comfortable with soft luxuries linens which is a must have for me. We will definitely be back!

We stayed for the Rock N Roll marathon for 5 days. We had 4 people in our group and felt like it was the perfect space. The kitchen had all the amenities to make a meal. The condo was very comfortable and walkable! We were just a short walk to the start line of the race and easily walkable to the boardwalk. It was also about a 10 min drive from the airport. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in San Diego!

Amazing stay for me and my boyfriend! The location is central enough to everything we wanted to do and see here in sd. The space was clean, cozy, and had all the amenities we needed! Instructions are listed clearly and communication with Nick was always quick n reliable! There’s some pretty significant construction out in front of the building, so street parking was a bit tricky since the parking space provided in the garage couldn’t accommodate our truck - but that was just a minor inconvenience for our ginormous rental lol.

Place is clean and has an amazing view, Savana was responsive. Parking is a great.

I had a great time staying at Thelma De La Paz’s place! The space was cozy, very clean, and exactly what I needed for a comfortable stay. Thelma was a wonderful host - polite, welcoming, and super responsive to any questions I had. Highly recommend!

Location, location, location. So many restaurants, coffee shops, and bars within walking distance. Close to the convention center and close to the seaport. Walked to the Ferry to go to Coronado. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony to have coffee in the morning. If you are looking for a place that is comfortable and in a great location, you can’t go wrong.

This place was absolutely amazing. Every detail and decoration was perfect, the views were surreal, located ideally in the middle of pacific beach. Able to walk to coffee every morning and enjoy ocean views from the comfort the living room. Host was very responsive and gave detailed instructions. Really couldn’t ask for anything more from an AirBnB!

This unit is quite lovely and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is a downstairs unit with a parking space. Super cute. Backyard patio is so peaceful and best enjoyed with a croissant, cup of coffee, and a book. BTW, great coffee in walking distance. Location, location, location. Great neighborhood in University Heights. Park and stores nearby. Not the big box ones, but the local owned restaurants and shops. We needed milk for coffee at 8 p.m. So we just walked down to the "liquor store" at the corner. Convenient, safe, and quick. If you want T**get or the mall (Fashion Valley), they are a 10-15 min drive away. They have everything you need for a comfortable stay, towels, soap, laundry, pots/pans, dishes, kcups/keurig, smart TV, etc. There were visitors upstairs that we could hear periodically, but they went to bed at a reasonable hour, so no problem there. Kevin and Tony were pleasant to work with and responded to a question within 5 min.
