EDINBURGH with its August Festival and Fringe is an hour by train or car ! The Highlands, Perthshire , Loch Lomond & The Trossachs are within 60-90 minutes making this a perfect base for seeing Scotland . Relax by the wood-burner and plan your next outing! The cottage is very well equipped , cosy and relaxing. Sorry, no pets.

Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". The Roundel in Fife
