Newly Built Forest Retreat for Private Use | Crystal-Clear Stream & Barrel Sauna. Within a 30-minute drive to Gujo Hachiman and Gero Onsen!
A location surrounded by lush, natural forests. On a vast 9,900-square-meter (3,000-tsubo) site overlooking the pristine Baze River and its tributaries, a new building has been constructed that blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings. When you look up at the night sky, you can see so many stars that the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye. Your stay here with your loved ones and friends will open your five senses, soothe your mind and body, and bring new insights and ideas. In addition to summer river fun and winter snow play, our Lithuanian barrel sauna and bathing in the headwaters right in front of you are highly regarded as a “sauna experience from another dimension.” During the green season, we offer an outdoor campfire (with a teepee set up depending on the time of year), and in winter, we provide an indoor wood-burning stove. You can enjoy a profound moment of conversation while gazing into the fire. One of the real joys of this inn is gathering around for an outdoor BBQ or a hot pot. For those who want to get away from their daily routine and discover their true selves. Please feel free to use our facilities for family trips, retreats, and corporate training as well.Opened in January 2026. We look forward to welcoming guests who will appreciate the atmosphere of this place that we have nurtured with great care. 90 minutes from Nagoya. An inn where you can have a BBQ while looking at the clear stream in the secluded Marubara. Tent sauna rental for a fee
The cottage is located on the banks of the clear Marukawa River. Gifu is famous for Shirakawago and Hida Takayama, but Enbara is also a nice place in the mountains, although it is inconvenient. The scenery of the mountains and rivers is beautiful, and it is a place rich in nature where monkeys and deer appear. The Enbara River is known as the most beautiful underground water in Japan and a famous spot for its light, and the inn is located about 800 meters from the spring water point of the underground water, so the water transparency is excellent. You can also see the light from the inn. On summer mornings, depending on the weather conditions, you can see a magical view of the sunlight pouring through the trees. The water in the Marukara River is cold, but in summer the children play in the river energetically. The riverbed is much cooler, so people can escape the heat and cool off. A little downstream there are several river play spots, and the water is clear everywhere and it feels good to swim beautifully. The water of the river shines emerald green in a slightly deep place, and the scenery of rocks and moss is also wonderful, and it is a healing spot where the mind is purified. There is a deck facing the river on the second floor of the inn, so you can relax while watching the river, BBQ, swing in a hammock while listening to the river, or refresh yourself in the tent sauna.
