The Thinker's Lodge by the Sea

This unique "Tänkarstuga" next to the Åland Sea, closest to the Swedish side, consists of a room with a panoramic window to the west overlooking the sea. Private terrace on all four sides of the building with dining area for two people, as well as sun loungers and tables for two. Large hiking areas on the nearby peninsula with its rich bird life, make it easy to believe that you are alone in the archipelago. Shared beach and jetty as well as a separate place where you can enjoy a small fire in the fire pit and maybe grill something good.

Here you stay with a view of fields and forest, a wood-fired sauna on the property and a swimming dock within walking distance – everything for those who want to relax and enjoy Åland. The accommodation is located 5 km from the Eckerölinjen ferry and 1 km from Eckerö Golf. The large garden invites you to play and relax, with plenty of space for both rest and socializing.

The fire crackles from the sauna stove while the Åland Sea opens up through the large windows. Relax on the large terrace with adjacent relaxation lounge and listen to the waves crashing on the beach stones. Fagerudda sauna is secluded with its own beach only 500 meters from Björnhofvda Gård. From the parking lot, the beach sauna is reached via a beautiful hilly 200 m long forest path down to the sea.

Toilet and electric sauna with shower. Beach and jetties are available. Boat can be rented. We have this house and a cottage above that is sometimes rented out, in these cases the beach is shared.
