Sarah's place is located in a very peaceful area. We enjoyed the hot tub and sitting in rocking chairs on a porch. We had our meals on the deck overlooking the woods that gave us the feeling of being on a campout Kitchen is well equipped and easy to "navigate" with marked cabinets. Absolutely loved to browse Sarah's library and the 'Humans' book. The fire pit was lovely but unfortunately we were not able to use it due to the drought conditions. Would love to return in the near future.

Absolute GEM of a place. Location is ideal for a weekend getaway from multiple metro areas. Gorgeous views, wonderful home with all the amenities. Carlos makes you feel right at home and is extremely helpful. And oh that SUNROOM! We quite literally never left it! The views were spectacular and it was so cozy and comfortable for all of us, dogs included. Thank you so much for the amazing weekend Carlos!

We had an amazing stay! Bryce was a great host, very responsive and welcoming. His place was immaculately clean and fully stocked. From the toiletries (loved the shampoo/conditioner) to the luggage stands, to the robes...we felt pampered and cared for. Beautiful view and peaceful surroundings. A great place to get away and relax! Highly recommend.

The setting of the home was breathtaking!!! The mountain was beautiful and the open patio was perfect to see the moon and stars at night! We were thinking there was too little light on the patio when we arrived but we know now it’s intentional. The home was spacious and had everything we could have needed. Hot tub was amazing and we can’t wait to return to Lost City!!

Grateful to have opportunity to get out of town with our pup and this home provided a lovely respite. This home is exactly as pictured and described. The owners are super responsive answering our questions within minutes. We didn’t try the sauna, but hope to next time. We had a ton of fun exploring the Country Store in Wardensville’s downtown; we found so many lovely and unique treasures.

This was my fourth (or fifth?) stay at Moondance and I’m never disappointed. The house has lots of windows facing the spectacular view and you can’t see any of the neighboring homes. The place is peaceful and the house is comfy with excellent WiFi and cell reception. Swimming in the spring-fed Trout Pond is a must on hot days! I’ll definitely be back again!

This unit is on the western end of a series of duplexes named Senedo Springs. The gravel roads up here are very walkable. It’s possible to trek down to Lake Laura although it’s a big vertical climb back up. The unit is airy and nice, better than the pictures. Thankfully there is not actually a murphy bed in the living room as shown in the pictures. The blankets are outdated so I recommend bringing your own. Plenty of cookware and dishes available but you’ll need to bring oil, spices, and all other food items. The amenities are great! It’s also nice they provide firewood just a short walk away. Good view of Great North Mountain in the winter. Amazing night sky from this location. This was our second time staying here and it kept its five-star rating!

This place is fantastic. It's comfortable in every way, charming, beautifully decorated, spacious, and spotlessly clean. It's even nicer than the photos suggest. The location right at the base of the slopes at Bryce is perfect. I'll definitely stay here again someday!

This is the perfect place to get away. Madeline was fantastic about messaging us and letting us know what to expect, things to do, and info about the house. She also is one of the most thoughtful host we’ve encountered. The space was perfect for what we were looking for. Comfortable bed, stocked with essentials, looked just like the photos, and had some extras we were not expecting. The road to the cabin is steep and unpacked, but Madeline let us know about before we arrived so we knew what to expect. We were so grateful that we could bring the dogs with us. The location is perfect if you want a quiet getaway. It was about an hour away from Luray and the Shenandoah NP entrances.

My family and I love the place it’s so peaceful and beautiful it’s perfect to disconnect from the noise of the city , was easy to communicate with Joanna and the persons at the farm was so friendly! I definitely recommend this place!!!

House was a cozy winter getaway for our group. Overall, a great stay. A few notes for future visitors: - House has working fire place and a wood pile out front to grab from. - House kitchen is well-equipped with all the basics for cooking (there's also a Keurig, plus French press and a regular coffee pot stored in the hall closet and kitchen cabinets if you prefer those) - Bottom floor bedrooms can get quite cold while upper levels can be warm. - Trip got off to a rocky start b/c the house lock didn't work (it malfunctions in cold temps - apparently a known issue). All was resolved within 20 minutes, but it took several calls while waiting in frigid night air. - House hot water is limited. We found that two people could have a 15-20 min shower (warm, not hot) within a roughly 2-3 hour time frame. More than that and water was tepid/cold. Plan accordingly.

My wife and I decided to do a four day weekend trip without the kiddos and wanted to try a new place that was beautiful and peaceful. Joylynn's place was exactly what we wanted. We got to unwind and just enjoy each other's company, soak in the hot tub, go exploring in the area, and I even got some fishing in at Lake Laura. We'd definitely want to come back again.

This was probably one of the nicest places that I’ve stayed at in this area. I will stay here again. Lovely host.

My husband and I stayed here with our 5 children and my parents. The layout was perfect- grandparents had the upstairs suite and we had the other suite on the main floor. The pool and hot tub were clean. Fire pit was stocked with firewood. The surroundings were beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Both covered decks were clean and welcoming. The kitchen had all the essentials plus plenty of coffee! The basement game area was perfect for the rainy times when we couldn't get outdoors. The bedrooms were comfortable. Bathrooms clean. Overall, the house was cozy, clean and better than the pictures.

My friends and I had such a wonderful time at The Shack for my birthday! The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were comfortable and we loved being able to cookout on the grill. We spent a lot of our time out by the bonfire and in the hot tub and also ventured out to enjoy the sunset at Muse vineyards. We would definitely book again here!!

David's place was very comfortable for us and our dogs. Our favorite things about the house were the fenced yard, screened in porch, and comfortable beds. If bringing a dog(s), be aware that the neighbor has two dogs, one of which she does not leash when walking and who has a tendency to roam over to the house periodically. Our dogs are reactive in situations like this so we didn't appreciate it, especially since the neighbor made her way over to the house upon our arrival with her dogs and we specifically requested she keep her off leash dog away from the house for the week during our stay. Of course this was out of David's control, but if traveling with pets something to keep in mind. I would suggest some room darkening curtains be added to the primary bedroom as the blinds don't do much to block the morning light. It's a pretty area and peaceful. A little farther than what we anticipated to get to some things we wanted to do. David was responsive and easy to communicate with.

This was the perfect weekend getaway! Surrounded by trees and far from the noise of everyday life, it was peaceful, quiet, and exactly what we needed. Having no service turned out to be a gift it really helped us disconnect and be present. Barbara was the best host ever, easy to communicate with, quick to respond, and incredibly thoughtful. The cabin was spontaneously clean and had everything we needed. The NASA touches and space theme made the whole place feel unique and fun. We especially loved taking a nap in the backyard, surrounded by nature it was pure bliss. This will definitely be one of our go-to weekend getaway spots. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy, relaxing escape!

Angie is wonderful and so is her AirBnB! It's actually magic. The peace, the calm, the quiet, the serenity itself is priceless. The space itself is incredibly comfortable. The beds are comfortable. The sheets are soft. There are plenty of extra blankets. The shower/sink water pressure is SUBLIME, which is not always the case in this area due to shared water wells. The washer and dryer is clean and easy to use; bring your own detergent. My favorite aspect of this place though is all the natural light and the windows. There is a huge window in the living room and two windowed doors leading to the back deck. We will definitely be back!

Anastasia was the best host ever. I have to say that the house exceeded our expectations. Iy was our first time in the area, she gave us places to visit in the area. The house was clean and had everything you can think from spices to the best first aid kit I have ever seen. I would recomend this host to anyone who is looking for a comfortable environment and a place that feels warm and cozy. I will surly stay here again. You got me hooked!

Nice quiet, peaceful retreat in a quiet little town nestled up in the mountains. Had a great time here, there’s a fantastic little brewery that’s a very short drive (you could probably walk it but we were unlucky with the rain our entire stay). Master suite bed is a very comfy memory foam mattress. Clean bathrooms, clean hot tub, really all you need for a quiet getaway to the mountains
