What a nice place to stay, The Windy Nook Chalet was spacious, had everything we needed, a view out over the fields, outdoor space, and didnt feel like anyone was around us, cant have asked for more, brilliant.

We have just spent 3 nights at Herdy View Lodge and were extremely pleased with our choice. The property is in a quiet location in a lovely setting. Several restaurants are in easy distance and Penrith, Ullswater and Keswick are short drives away. The lodge itself is lovely and kitted out with everything we needed. There is also an information folder which was really useful. All in all it was perfect for our requirements and we would certainly book there again. We wish we could have stayed longer.

The chalet surpassed our expectations and is ideally situated. It is close to Aberdeen (20 minutes drive to City Centre) but in a rural location. Paddy and Catherine are both lovely people with a very interesting back-story. They were attentive but not overbearing throughout our visit

We loved our stay, and the chalet is a great place for a getaway and exploring the Outer Hebrides. Coll beach is also a short drive away and a great place for a BBQ

We had a great stay at Iain’s charming cabin, he provided clear instructions before arrival for check in and some additional directions to find the place. When we arrived the cabin was very clean with all listed amenities available and everything topped up such as fire wood. Half way through our stay there was an electrical issue in the area which caused a power outage. Iain was quick to respond and try his best to get everything going again, when it became apparent this wouldn’t be until the following day he booked alternative accommodation for us and then welcomed us back into the cabin the following day. These things can’t be helped but Iain dealt with the situation in the best way possible which is all you can ask for. Once the fire is roaring the cabin becomes so cosy and a perfect place to return back to after exploring the Scottish countryside. Coupled with a comfy bed and an amazing view to wake up to you really can’t go wrong with a relaxing getaway here!

The Manor Party Lodge was perfect for a girlie weekend with 7 friends. We had an amazing time. The lodge was clean and well maintained and the hot-tub was wonderful. Cleaning staff were nice and friendly. We would definitely book again.

Karen’s Airbnb was modern, spotless, stylish and literally the most well-provisioned AirBnb I have ever stayed at. Dyson hairdryers in both main suites, every kitchen appliance you could imagine (why of course there’s an ice cream maker!) and then some you didn’t know existed like a hot chocolate maker as well. She was so kind and helpful despite our last-minute reservation in mid-week November happening at the same time as some significant personal events as well. Wonderful, kind, stylish host with a beautiful first class house.

The house surpassed all our expectations the photos do do it justice. Fabulous house fabulous location fabulous facilities We all had a great time and will definitely be back. I highly recommend this wild Atlantic lodge for anyone going to dunfanaghy for a break. Lesley was a first class host responded immediately to any queries. 5 star experience

The lodge on the loch was breathtaking, from the sights on the water to the mountains in the distance. Our lodge had a perfect view of the sunset over the mountains. The hot tub was clean and great for relaxation as we watched the sun slowly settle below the horizon of the mountainscape. Smoking is not permitted in the lodge but is allowed on the back porch overlooking the loch. The staff were very helpful and ready to assist with any requests. We were allowed an additional hour for check out. The lodge did not have any napkins or paper towels so be sure to bring your own; but it was well equipped with cooking and drinking necessities and a dishwasher. The lodge was clean and comfortable with a flat screen tv and 2 leather couches adding comfort from inside. The midges come out at sundown so be aware that they can become troublesome. Bring bug repellent and plenty of sunblock. The rooms can get warm on hot days. Our stay was incredible and a great experience.

If you love to hike or are looking for some quiet time in a beautiful setting, this is the place! The cabin is situated between Ben Lomond and Loch Lomond. It's spacious and nicely decorated (felt cozy). It is close to the 'end of the road', very remote, so we had to rent a car to get there. It's right next to Rowardennan hotel with a bar/restaurant and a small shop (geared towards hikers doing the West Highland Way). Our family enjoyed dinners and drinks on the restaurant's patio, with stunning views. Would love to come back for longer!!!

We had a great time in your beautiful place. It is clean, quiet, and in a great location, making it an ideal base for visiting Edinburgh and Inverness. Your kitchen is well-equipped. If you want us to dig bone out of an egg, we went through tea bags so quickly; having a few more in stock would be even better. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your place. If we revisit Scotland, your place will be at the top of our list.

Great host. Quiet setting but nearest town Balliborough poor for evening restaurants. From description we thought kayak n paddle boards came with chalet - had to book but little available . Hot tub great . All in all we would highly recommended it .

This was our second time at Chris’s lodge and yet again it didn’t disappoint!! The lodge is just in the best spot, the facilities inside are just great and everything was spotless, it is such a great lodge that we just had the best time there. My girls absolutely loved being able to feed the ducks, geese and swans from the lodge. You could just sit and watch the wild life on the lake all day. Chris was a super helpful host for all the booking and was able to help us purchase play-passes to use the facilities at the complex. We will definitely be staying again.

Wonderful place with a beautiful lake side location. Very cosy and well appointed. Lots to do on site, especially for children. The restaurant on site is quite poor unfortunately and we would not recommend it.
