Rio’s law requires a general business license for any economic activity with a physical venue. With such license the municipality states that the activity carried out in such place is allowed pursuant to zoning laws.

The general business license is required whether the activity is carried out by an individual or by a legal entity. Additional permits and licensing might be required contingent upon the type of activity carried out.

Generally speaking, we encourage you to check with the municipality and speak to a lawyer to make sure you are following your local laws.
