How do I give employees access to the Airbnb for Work dashboard?

Access to the Airbnb for Work dashboard is managed through employee roles. Once you’ve chosen the appropriate role for an employee, you can update their existing role to give them the right type of access to the dashboard.

    Roles

    1. Travellers: Employees with this role can’t access the dashboard, but can book work trips using their own payment method, or by charging trips directly to your company if you have central billing enabled.
    2. Trip planners: This role has limited access to the dashboard and they can only get details about the reservations they’ve booked. They can also book travel on behalf of other employees who have authorised them to do so.
    3. Admins: Employees with this role have the most access. They can download spending reports, add payment methods and more, as well as book and manage work trips for other employees.

    Updating roles

To change which role an employee has:

    1. Log in to your Airbnb account and go to your Airbnb for Work dashboard
    2. Select People in the navigation bar
    3. Enter an employee name in the search bar, or browse the employee list in your dashboard
    4. When you find the employee whose role you want to change, click their name
    5. From their profile details, click Change role
    6. Select the desired role for the employee, then click Update

The employee’s role will immediately be updated, and they’ll get an email notifying them of the change.

If you’ve granted temporary booking access to travellers outside your company, learn how to update or edit their access.

    Approving role change requests

If a member of your team requests a change to their role, you can approve or reject the request from within your dashboard.

    1. Log in to your Airbnb account and go to your Airbnb for Work dashboard
    2. Click the notifications icon in the navigation bar
    3. Click the Role requests tab to review any pending requests
