The Acorn is on the southern side of Bishops Stortford, roughly 15 minute walk from town centre. There is a river behind you can stroll along, outdoor space, and the room is light and airy. Private gated parking for one vehicle. The place is secluded good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and one well-behaved furry friend (pet). (Please note that the hosts live 15 mins away & not next door). With transport links nearby (bus, train, Stansted airport), the adventure starts here!

Garden cabin

Cabin is at the back of our garden - all for yourselves ;-)) Location is ideal for RVC or FILM INDUSTRY ROLES On the warm days you can enjoy the water fountain, pond and our friendly dog & cats The access is via our house where you can meet myself, my kids, my friends or our other guests staying in the main house ;-)) It does have a nano kitchenette/it is very basic- not suitable for proper cooking ;-)) No smoking indoors Free parking nearby A train line not far behind the cabin-can be heard

Churchside Guest Apartment, near Saffron Walden

Churchside guest apartment is a private and self contained one bedroom annexe to Churchside house. You will be totally self-contained but we are on hand if you need anything at all. Above all, we want you to relax and feel at home. Churchside offers the perfect place for a relaxing holiday and a great location from which to explore the beautiful local countryside and local sights with easy access to London and Cambridge for day visits. There are numerous good walks straight from the front door.

Our Garden Hut sits at the bottom of our garden. It has a small double bed and gorgeous views of our thatched cottage. Located in the centre of the village, it is peaceful and tranquil. Convenient for Cambridge (30 mins by car), exploring the beautiful countryside nearby, Wimpole Hall, IWM Duxford or for weddings at South Farm. NB: The bed in the Hut is smaller than the average UK double (5'8 x 4'0 vs 6'3 x 4'6 ft / 173 x 122 vs 182 x 136 cms) and the WC is situated just inside the house.

This cosy luxurious self contained oak frame cabin offers the perfect peaceful setting for a relaxing getaway. Listen out and you may hear the owls at night. Backing onto the National Trust Ashridge Forest, this is perfect for outdoor lovers but equally suitable for a romantic night in. 1.5 miles down the road, the popular market town of Berkhamsted is offering atmospheric pubs and bars for a special treat out. The cabin offers comfortable, spacious living with King size bed.

The barn is approximately 215 years old and situated in an English cottage garden on the doorstep of Woburn Abbey with lots of gorgeous walks in the beautiful countryside. The Abbey entrance gate is 0.4 miles away, you can walk through the deer park & extensive grounds. A public footpath takes you to the Elephant house & beyond. We are on the route of the famous Greensand Ridge & boast a lovely local pub the "Rose & Crown", serving good British food.

A short drive away you have various attractions including Henry Moore, Audley End, and the lovely old market town of Saffron Walden. Cambridge and Newmarket are not too far either.
