Live like a wagabond at Sweden's southernmost theater in our amazing and comfortably furnished Gypsy Wagons. Have a rustic breakfast in our beautiful foyer and enjoy vast beaches by the sea. Here you live close to nature with all the convenience within easy reach.

How about falling asleep under the summer sky to the sound of the redwoods in a traditional, deliciously decorated gypsy wagon, on soft mattresses with fresh sheets, down duvets and pillows? Maybe after a barbecue at the campfire. And then get to wake up to a waiting breakfast with good coffee and a fabulous fresh bread from the famous baker.

All this is in Örmölla old beautiful school in Abbekås, on the beautiful sandy beaches of the Skåne south coast. The building is newly furnished with the kitchen, dining, showers, toilets and all the modernities needed for comfortable tourist life. It is also wheelchair accessible and we have a pavilion for disabled persons.

We who started and own Hotel Vagabond are two actors, who toured from Boliden in the north to the desert town of Timbuktu in Mali in the south. We have seen many places in the world and often lived a vagrant life. The hotels have been countless. Most of them didn't leave any deeper traces, but there were some pearls. – Such a hotel we dreamed of creating!

Since we also have our own theater - Theater Kapija - in the house, we sometimes give our own performances and organize guest performances and concerts. We've partnered with many artists and creative friends who can surprise both ourselves and our guests.

Now it's time to bring the world to us. And give you a little more than just nightlife. Warmly welcome to dream our own magical dreams in our beautiful Vagabond Trolleys.


Guest access
A robust breakfast is always included in our prices. Easier evening meals can be arranged upon request. Several showers and toilets are available in our fixed buildings directly adjacent to the carriages.

We have a few different types of carriages all with a double bed as standard as well as the possibility for children to sleep in extra beds for example. Maximum four people per carriage, of which two children.

The best thing is that you talk to us about your needs and we can together find a good solution. We also have a pavilion for disabled accommodation, with a single bed and a bunk bed.

Our hotel is also a theatre and sometimes performances and concerts for children and adults are given here.

Hotel Vagabond is located in a beautiful scenic area on the south coast of Skåne. Here, you have the sea within sight with a beautiful sandy beach for recreation. You can walk along the lovely Skivarpåsån and stop at any of the barbecue areas. If you go in the other direction, you come to the little picturesque fishing village of Abbekås with restaurants and cafe.
