My husband Mingma and I live in this city of Kathmandu, Nepal. I traveled to Nepal for the first time in 2016, and in an unlikely series of events, I met my husband here and got married in 2018. Last year we added a small baby boy to our family - Tenzing! Being parents, running the restaurant, and the AirBnB business has been very exciting for us. We love to travel and stay in nice, friendly places, which is what we try to provide at our AirBnB.

On what was supposed to be a two-week holiday in 2016, I traveled to Nepal and I fell in love with this country. More specifically, fell in love with the people of this country :) I was struck by their hospitality, their kindness, and their daily lives and willingness to invite anyone into their home for a cup of coffee or tea. I was incredibly inspired to share this with my friends and family, and wanted build a bridge that would connect the two seemingly distant worlds.

Our chapter of Salon de Kathmandu starts here and we are delighted to share this beautiful home with you. We run a café & bistro on the first floor and garden, and still there are three rooms left on the second floor. What do we do with these spare rooms? Let’s welcome and host people from around the world!
