Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Hotham Heights

It was such a perfect little spot, nestled into the bush with lots of space to roam… but close enough to Bright to gather the essentials. And right on the doorstep of Mount Buffalo National Park!

We had a lovely stay at Gil's place, very comfortable and warm had everything you need for a relaxing holiday. A really beautiful house with fantastic views of the mountains and close to town. Would gladly stay again..

What a beautiful place to relax and explore the area. Every window in the house had a serene outlook - looking over the dam, out to the highland cows, over to the sheep and lambs; with so many places to sit a relax - by the fire pit at the edge of the running creek, comfortable chairs in a number of nooks inside and out. We really felt at home. Thank you.

Had a beautiful stay at The Glen. The autumn colours were stunning each window you looked out of. Cosy at night time, we enjoyed the open fire, as well as the outdoor fireplaces. Having the river in walking distance was a special treat. Perfect spot to relax, but to also use as a launchpad to the nearby areas of Rutherglen, Beechworth and Bright. Was a perfect escape.

The cottage was the perfect location for a self-catered riding holiday - decent-sized kitchen and Wangaratta, Beechworth and Bright are all ridable from the cottage gate. The rural surrounds make for a picturesque and peaceful location.

Jenny was a wonderful host! We were running a bit late, and she was quick to respond to my messages and kept in touch about our arrival. It was such a nice touch to arrive to a warm, cosy house with the fire already going. The property was easy to find, spotlessly clean, and the bed was really comfortable. Omeo is a peaceful little town, and the house was beautifully quiet — perfect for a relaxing stay.

Great location, so close to town and the river. Inside is nice and cosy with the fireplace and comfy beds/ couch. The house was nice and spacious and beautifully renovated.

One of the best places we have ever stayed! Everything has been thought of from the layout, quality fittings and fixtures to beautiful soaps and body wash. The pictures do not do the place justice! The only problem we had only booked 1 night as a stop over. We will be back for a relaxing retreat one day.

This was our second stay with Melinda and as with the first time we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The space and property are beautiful and Melinda is a friendly helpful host. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else the next time I come to the area.

Lovely weekend up in High Country Vic! Harrietville was the perfect spot to set off for hiking and away from the busyness of Bright. Elizabeth’s place was cozy in a gorgeous farm! Internet was spotty but that’s regional Vic for you!!

Geoff’s place was absolutely amazing! Real cozy as we wanted and lots of space to hang out. I added my sister last minute but Geoff didn’t charge as extra. We even had free milk, juice, bread etc! Really recommended. Only airbnb I’ve been with 3 smart TVs! Couldn’t have asked for more.

Absolutely stunning views, and exceptionally beautiful in its autumn colours. Very comfortable and spacious. We just loved it. The only very minor point I would make is that the kitchen needs better lighting, it was difficult to see the oven and microwave settings without a (supplied) torch. But that's just a domestic inconvenience, the getaway holiday experience was brilliant.

One of the best Airbnb's I've stayed at. Needed a nice base to work from while I was in Wangaratta and the Crossroads is such a great little space. Off street secure parking, gorgeous interior with lots of remnants of the building's past. Plenty of heating for winter nights and a comfy lounge area to relax in. The kitchen had everything needed as well including a coffee machine. Overall a lovely ambience to the whole place. I'll definitely be a regular here, really really enjoyed my time there.

We had an excellent stay at Leigh and Madonna’s place in Bright. Clean and comfortable. Great TV for streaming whatever. Terrific location close to Bright but far enough away to provide a peaceful and relaxing visit. We used our e bikes to ride to Myrtleford so we particularly appreciated the lock up shed for our bikes. Thanks again Brenda and Adrian

Beautiful place in the heart of Beechworth. Very homely with some quirky, yet classy decor. Loved the inclusion of the record player! Everything as advertised and a friendly responsive host. Will definitely book to stay again next time we are in Beechworth. Thank you for having us 😊

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Mary’s place. The apartment had everything we needed - from the super comfy bed and sofa, to all the kitchen amenities, as well as the high quality shampoo and hair conditioner that kept my hair very smooth even during winter times. I got to enjoy a nice cup of coffee every morning before hitting the slope as there’s a nespresso machine (there’s even cocoa powder provided to put on top of my coffee!!). From every little details, you could tell how much thoughts the host has put into designing this apartment. Location is perfect as well as it’s right at the centre of Hotham Central. Also, Mary is a super friendly and helpful host, very responsive whenever we needed help. We would love to stay here again.

Had a great stay here with a group of friends for a ski weekend in Mt Hotham. The place is so well set up, very spacious and the fire was going when we arrived. Kitchen has everything you need, big comfy couches and warm heaters throughout. Location is great, can easily walk to the shops or pub. Highly recommend!

Perfect place to stay for backpackers. The location is very close to the Razorback trailhead where we hiked for a day. There is a nice view of Mt. Feathertop from the unit's terrace. Complete with amenities and kichenette. 2-3 minutes drive up to the town where there's a lot of restaurants and shops. Will definitely come back here for our Mt. Bogong trip next year!

We had a wonderful stay at Renja’s apartment. The place was clean, tidy and comfortable, perfect for our weekend at Falls Creek. Renja was a great host, very responsive and provided clear instructions.

Had a lovely stay, Mary was wonderful to communicate with. Had trouble finding the place until we went in & read the how to find (I just hadn’t read it prior). We had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful stay! Katherine gave clear instructions and plenty of information about the area. Our group of 6 adults were comfortable and found it a very enjoyable place to spend our family reunion. The kitchen had anything you needed including a cake tin which we had forgotten. You will need to do your own cleaning as you leave and you’re relying on the guests before you to have cleaned the place, so it was decently clean but not pristine. However for the location and the shoulder season prices it was very much worth the trip! We would happily be back for future gatherings!

Absolutely loved our stay at this house! The kids had an amazing time in the swimming pool, and I couldn’t get enough of the stunning view. The house was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a small family of two or three. It had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable stay!
