From the natural hot tub at the center of the well-maintained cottage site, you can enjoy the golden light of the midnight sun or watch the northern lights. You will stay in one of our four studio-style 2-person cottages. They range from 30 to 36 square meters in size and feature different decoration. You can choose to have one large double bed or two single beds in your cottage. Please state at the time of booking which one you require.

We would like to welcome you to come and stay in our lovely guesthouse at our farm in the heart of Skagafjordur. Here you can relax and enjoy your evening in our hot tub, take a walk to visit our calm and gentle horses, we also own a beautiful lake and we are "forest farmers" i.e. we plant 10.000 trees each year and we can highly recommend a stroll through our young forest to the lake. There will be sheep, chicken, cats and dogs around and next to the house there is a beautiful old church:)

The house is located on a small farm in north Iceland. Guests have a lot of privacy in the house as it stands alone. You might see our horses and even sheep close to the house. Our dog and cat are friendly and might pay you a visit. You can go for short walks among horses, sheep and birds in a varied landscape. During the winter, there is a unique experience to sit in the hot tub and watch the northern lights. The house is a good place for home office due to high speed wi-fi and facilities.

It lies 15 minutes (by car) south of Blönduós and 2 km from the main road.

The house is well located behind the church in the old town of Sauðárkrókur, just off the Main Street where you will find various services such as bakeries, restaurants, museums. Swimming pool is within walking distance. Just off the house is the church path that takes you up to the Nafs above the town with views of the fjord and the islands. It is a short walk down to the marina and funicular.

Edith is VERY responsive. We had questions upon arrival and she called us almost immediately. The space was great as well. There is enough space for a large group, including two kitchens. It is also close to the grocery store which was a big plus. The game room would also be tons of fun for kids. Overall, our stay was great!

Beautiful historical house

A computer glitch deleted our original pre-paid booking at a place which we reserved 5 months prior in Blönduós, and we were scrambling to find lodging. Fortunately, Gunnar was able to accommodate us last-minute at his recently renovated historical home in Sauðárkrókur. The kitchen has modern appliances and the twin mattresses were high quality and comfortable. The house is located walking distance from local restaurants and I enjoyed looking at the fjord from the windows.

The accommodation is very quietly located overlooking the lake. The approach is via a gravel road but easy to reach. Our room had a private bathroom and was very clean and tidy. Check-in was super relaxed and we were shown everything in person. From the room, there was also a beautiful view of the lake.

The place was really comfortable and in a peaceful surroundings, we liked it alot and felt like home right as we stepped in the cabin. We walked around the place and it was beautiful, we wished we could stay longer!
