Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Hvalfjörður

We really liked the place and the hot tub...Only problem...We had the window open the second night and there were so many midges coming in....... It has nothing to do with the house but might be good to know... Apart from that we had a very good time.

We had a great stay! Beautiful location in countryside. Very clean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. Would highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful location and excellent accommodations.

We had an amazing time at Emma and Oskar’s place. The location was serene and breathtaking. Beautiful views of the water and wildlife. The home was extremely cozy, tasteful, and had everything we could ask for. The deck had gorgeous views, a wonderful hot tub, the water was always hot, the beds were comfortable and the entire place had a cozy feel. Hosts gave very clear check in instructions which made it a breeze. The home is close to everything you need. We had an amazing time and highly recommend to anyone traveling to Iceland.

Our 4 night stay in Larus’ Lakefront Villa & nearby attractions of the Golden Circle were one of the highlights of our trip-we highly recommend! His home is spectacular in every way, including a hot tub, sauna, a large living room/gathering space w/well appointed kitchen. Directly on a lake, without others in close proximity, it’s ideal for those that want to experience the splendor of this part of Iceland more privately. As a host, Larus goes above & beyond! We had brought some equipment to fish the river 100 yards away, but not small enough tackle. When we emailed him asking location of a tackle shop, after returning from a daily activity, we were surprised & delighted to find 2 more rods & 2 new trays of tackle appropriate for the trout in the river; giving 4 of our group the chance to do some fishing in Iceland. Great stay in beautiful environment.

The barn house was beautifully built and decorated with spectacular views. The skylight windows were perfect for watching for the northern lights. The kitchen had all the basics and some extras like a nespresso machine and pods. We enjoyed cooking there and using the hot tub. The washer and dryer were super helpful. It was a great launching place for the Golden Circle. Stokkseyri is a cute little town with a great local pool. The turf house across the street was fun to explore as was the beach on the other side of the turf wall. It is very near Bakkahestar for highly recommended Icelandic horse rides with a local couple on the beach in Eyrarbakki. Nearby Selfoss has anything you need including an amazing fish market Fiskbud Suderlands for great prices on fresh caught local fish. Kristinn was very responsive and we loved our stay!

Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

This was the first time we used AirBnB and it was great experience for us due to the great approach and service provided by Sigridur. The whole process from booking, to arrival, stay and check-out was very easy due to the proactive and helpful communication from Sigridur. The property itself was as described, clean and carefully prepared for AirBnB usage. I would highly recommend staying there if you need a base for exploring Reykjavik and neighbouring areas.

I stayed at the Hekla Comfort House with my father and brother for two nights during a 6 day trip in Iceland. My father hadn't been to Europe since the 70's and this was our first time traveling just the three of us. We loved every minute of our stay and wish we could have extended our time there. Such a lovely home and the hosts have clearly thought of every last amenity their guests may need. We drove a lot exploring the South coast and it was so wonderful to come back to this place after a long day in the car. Many thanks for sharing your special home with us!

The Mountain Villa was fabulous - all 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were very well equipped and perfect for our needs. The sulphur smelling showers took a bit of getting used to but overall everything worked well including the sauna and hot tub. We even enjoyed playing with the a few games in the garden. We also loved sitting in the glass dome in the evenings - another fabulous feature of the house. Very highly recommended as a base to relax and to explore this amazing country!!

We had a great stay at Sveinn's. Nice house with a beautiful bay window, a large living room and 3 comfortable bedrooms.

Kjartan's Borgarnes Villa was everything we hoped it would be. The views were amazing, the lake access was enjoyed and the deck time was spectacular!

A hidden gem in the country side. Beautiful, very quiet, a true sanctuary. So nice to come back after a day of sightseeing. The hot tub was a great bonus. The kitchen was very well stocked and our host made sure we had plenty of coffee! Plenty of room for 5 adults and 1 child.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful cabin! The space was spotless, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning natural scenery. It offered the perfect mix of seclusion and convenience—quiet and relaxing, yet close to great attractions and things to do in the area. The host was exceptionally accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind in comfort and nature!

Home with a hot tub with amazing views - super clean and homey. Definitely recommend!

Very spacious and clean. Great view of the farm and all the Icelandic horses. We also met a friendly barn cat during our check in. Check in was at the reception/hotel. Host were very friendly and accommodating to late checkins. Checkout was simple. Breakfast was available at the hotel in the morning but you'll need to pay. We enjoyed our stay.

My family and I thorough enjoyed our stay! After a long day of travel the hot tub and peaceful surroundings were just what was needed! The location was within easy driving distance to many local attractions and to the city for any supplies needed. We would highly recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful stay just outside the capital.

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful home near Þingvellir National Park. The views were absolutely breathtaking! Whether we were enjoying our morning coffee or soaking in the hot tub under the midnight sun, the scenery never stopped impressing us. The hot tub and sauna were perfect after long days of exploring and made the experience feel like a true Icelandic escape. Our host was fantastic! Super responsive and helpful throughout the entire stay. They even arranged a thoughtful welcome basket with wine and snacks, which made us feel instantly at home. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for our Iceland adventure. Highly recommend!

The cabins sit on a road away from where reception is, and the instructions were clear to get there. The hot tub does take a while to fill up, since it is filled with geothermal spring water, but it is definitely a must in Iceland. Relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of hiking and traveling the Golden Circle was a perfect ending.

Warm little comfy cottage with views of Hekla & surrounding mountains. The cottage is beautifully situated in the Icelandic countryside right on the Golden Circle. You can easily explore the highlights of the Golden Circle from here and also go into the Highlands or explore the Southern Coast of Iceland. The bedroom offers nice panoramic views of the surrounding area, while the couch is also very comfortable and there is a hot tub that can easily be filled up and used for an Icelandic experience on the porch. Would definetly stay here again. Communication with the host was also fantastic!

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! It was perfect! Very spacious and clean! Had a hot tub, which was nice to go into after hiking all day. The host was also very nice and helpful! She rechecked the place for me when I thought I left something at the place. The views were also amazing!! If we ever go back to Iceland, my family and I will definitely be staying here again! :)

Nice home convenient to the Golden Circle. Sandra had great communication and was very helpful when we arrived late in the day. Home was tidy and included at the promised amenities. We wish we could have had more time in the area and in this home.
