Family-friendly holiday rentals in Inverness

We stayed at Mackenzie House as part of a Hen weekend. The house was amazing and exactly what we needed! The surrounding area was gorgeous and we all loved being surrounded by the deer and other wildlife!

We loved our stay at Susan's property. Had all the amenities we could have wanted. great location and plenty of space for the full family! would definitely stay again and very grateful for the prosecco and fudge!

We absolutely loved our stay!! It had everything we needed and more. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect, close to everything we had planned. Great restaurants, grocery shops, cafes, etc. close by. We also very much enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after busy day touring around. Kristy was a very responsive and friendly host. Would definitely recommend staying here

Balnacraig house is a great house in a beautiful location / we rented the property with another 3 couples as we were invited to a birthday party just down the road. So the location was perfect. It is a beautiful house well located with all facilities needed although we did not really have time to enjoy it. Linda was great to communicate with and we definitely would return again.

Copper Beech is a beautiful home in a fantastic setting. On the edge of fields, we were able to see the nearby firth and enjoy the peacefulness of the surroundings. Alness is an easy walk away and Alan provided details of interesting local walks. It’s also a great base from which to explore the villages of the Black Isle, Dunrobin Castle and the waterfalls around Corrieshalloch Gorge area. We feel very lucky to have found Copper Beech, it’s a home which had everything we needed for a peaceful, comfortable stay, from excellent bamboo bed linen to cake tins! This is the first Airbnb in which I was able to bake a cake! And the excellent hot tub was a great way to relax and watch the sun go down. I would highly recommend staying here.

The wee love nest was so cosy and beautifully decorated. The attention to detail is like nothing I've seen before! Just such a beautiful place to be and nice little walks in the surrounding area. The hot tub was absolutely wonderful and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and easy to chat to! 100% will be back in the future!

I had an amazing stay!The place was stunning,extremely beautiful, quiet, and peaceful with breathtaking views. All the amenities were exactly as described, and everything was clean and comfortable. The small town nearby (just a 10-minute drive) was charming and convenient for anything I needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Truly “off grid” in the literal sense! It runs on batteries and a generator!! Despite it not having wifi we all had great 4G so never felt truly disconnected thankfully. It’s such a private place with literally nobody for a square mile or more probably. I would say in the winter you will need a 4x4 to access as it’s a mile down a dirt track! Amazing place and can’t wait to revisit :)

What a beautiful, secluded spot. It was super cozy and private. The outdoor space out the back and balcony were particular highlights. Janet was v friendly and we appreciate her personal touch. Lots of outdoors and touristy things to do in and around Loch Ness. No Nessie sightings though :(

We loved the location and the views were exceptional. The accommodation was clean and very well prepared for our visit. Given our limited mobility we were offered the accommodation nearest the car park, an example of how thoughtful the host is. It would have been nice to meet the hist as she definitely had a sense of humour in our communication. Thank you Julie.

Toms place was amazing, perfect for what we needed, beautiful property and peaceful. Tom was a great host if anything was needed tom was there to answer. Would absolutely recommend Toms place, if we where in the area again I would not hesitate to book again. All information for the property and instructions on how to get there is given straight over making the whole experience a breeze

Amanda and Stewart were very accommodating, especially as we were a long-term stay (six weeks). The place felt like home, the hosts were incredibly helpful (also with non-tourist advice). The garden is secure for our two big dogs, and the place itself spotless, clean and really enjoyable. And the neighbours are very nice, too :)

What an absolute gem! We absolutely loved our stay at Hazel’s Airbnb. The attention to detail, stunning interior design, and beautiful personal touches made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. Communication with Hazel was first class, prompt, friendly, and helpful. The location was perfect, peaceful and scenic, yet just a short drive from Inverness. If you have a rental car or your own vehicle, don’t even think about staying anywhere else! It was the ideal base to explore the Highlands while enjoying the tranquillity of the countryside. It was our 2nd stay in Tulloch farm. we absolutely fell in love with this place. Hosts are very approachable and helpful. We will definitely be back again.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful house in Scotland. The home is of a very high standard - spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and tastefully and personally decorated. It’s peaceful and quiet, yet perfectly located with stunning views and a flourishing garden full of flowers. There was plenty of space both indoors and outdoors, making it feel very comfortable and relaxing. Neil and Miranda were exceptional hosts - very helpful, quick to respond, and full of great local recommendations. We can wholeheartedly recommend the lodge!

We had an amazing experience at this place. We were a family of two adults and two teenagers visiting Scotland. We stayed at the Fort Augustus Abbey for 7 nights to explore the Highland, lakes and islands. The apartment was large and very comfortable, inside an old abbey and its huge park, facing a large green field. The location is truly exceptional, directly on the banks of the Loch Ness, close to all facilities. Most of the apartment looked very recently renovated. The furniture and beds were great. The kitchen table and the living area furniture were clearly used but not at all worn out. There were some stains on the carpet but nothing bothersome. The apartment was very comfortable with a huge dining table, lots of space, two full bathrooms, very comfortable kitchen area, etc. The abbey was great overall, a very nice park for walking or just sitting around, table tennis, open-air chess, swimming pool, etc. By far our best Airbnb experience. A bit pricey but absolutely worth it!

A cosy lodge in a beautiful part of Scotland. Plenty of space and the extra facilities in the games room and pool were great additions. It is in a remote location which may take adjusting to. The beds were comfortable, kitchen and appliances decent. Would happily stay here again.

Another wonderful stay here. Cozy, comfortable caravan with a beautiful, peaceful view. Spotlessly clean, great shower, comfy sofas, helpful hosts. Perfect for watching the world go by outside. Can't wait to return next year!

What a wonderful place to stay - I recently stayed for 4 nights with my husband and two daughters (7 and 10). We loved the location and the building. Having direct outside access and an outside eating area was a bonus. Just note the apartment is built onto the back of the abbey and is not directly inside (although there is internal access to the fabulous pool, table tennis room, giant chess set and billiards room). And also if you are travelling with young children there are multiple heavy fire doors within the unit that are supposed to stay closed - younger kids would be unable to open them and they’re fairly soundproof so I don’t think a crying baby/toddler could be heard from the next room. The unit is a very short walk down to the shores of the loch. The kitchen is set up for self catering and there is ample parking - arrival time is coordinated with the onsite management company. Overall this was a bit pricey but a very special stay and would strongly recommend!

We loved our stay at the old abbey - we felt a bit like Harry Potter at Hogwarts. The apartment was clean, well equipped and very spacious. The abbey's outdoor area is a dream and the pool is wonderful!

The Highland Club is extraordinary. Our host, Fernando, was exceptional! One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and always available if you need anything. The apartment was wonderful and felt like "home away from home." An easy walk over to the little shops, bars and cafes in Fort Augustus by the canal made the stay even better. Not to mention the proximity to The Boathouse restaurant... a fun little spot with great food! Not only is the apartment in a unique and fantastic location, the view of Loch Ness from the grounds is like nothing you've ever experienced - beautiful and tranquil, to say the least. A perfect "home base" to head out and experience other parts of the Highlands... like, Isle of Skye. WOW!!!!! Stay here! You won't regret it!!
