“Guada, was quick respond and answer any questions we had before our trip. Her suggestions when we arrived were incredibly helpful. Her assistance made our trip so much less stressful. Isra, went above and beyond and reserved a shuttle for us to return to Cancun, checked the ferry schedules for us and set up a taxi pick-up for the morning. I cannot express how much this helped us and gave us peace of mind. the place is gorgeous in a simple and elegant way. It is a bit off the beaten path which was good for us. I will be recommending Alcobas de Mar to all my friends and will definitely return.”
The Pineapple Color, peace, harmony, cleanliness and security; your home in paradise. Our loft is located just 2 minutes from the beach in front of the El Velero beach club, and 7 from the center. Equipped with electric stove, refrigerator, hot water, air conditioning, two queen size beds, bath towels and beach towels, amenities (shampoo, liquid bath soap, hand soap and toilet paper) and basic kitchen utensils, we want that you feel at home !!
“The location of the apartment is perfect, since you are very close to the sea, but also away from the noise that the center can cause at night. To get to the center, just walk a little. From what we could perceive Holbox in general it is super safe, and the department also. Hosts have hooks, towels, and basic kitchen tools. Miguel and Tati are very considerate and are attentive at all times. I hope to come back soon! Recommendation: Bring cel Telcel, since Movistar does not have coverage in Holbox.”
The best area to get to know the real Holbox of relaxation and privacy in contact with nature.
“This place is truly a gem, and Tim was a fantastic host. When we arrived, he sat down with us and went over all the key highlights of the island, places to eat, places to avoid, how to get around, etc. The two bikes provided were a nice touch and were in good condition, and it was an easy bike ride to get into town. The house and landscape was well thought out and created a very relaxing atmosphere. Several reviewers have said that the place is even better than the photos can show, and I agree with that. The location: This was the perfect location for us. If you like to be close to all the action, then you might want to find something closer to downtown Holbox. (It's all relative, of course, since this is only a mile from downtown.) If you're looking for some extra space to stretch out where there's nothing between you and the beach, and you're willing to jump on a bike (or walk or take a taxi) to go into town, then this may be the perfect place for you. The beach: So I initially thought that the beach would be more private than it was. I found out that the beach is actually owned by the government, and land owners lease beach access rights from the government. Since the beaches are not private property, anyone can walk along the beach, and there were many people that walked past us while we were lounging on the beach. I realized that this is actually a good thing, because that means we also had the ability to walk any part of the beach that we wanted (even if we wanted to walk to downtown via the beach). It was very different than staying at a resort. We didn't have to fight for beach space, and it was just a few steps from the beach to the house so we could easily top off our drinks or make some food to bring out to the beach. And speaking of drinks, one nice touch was that purified drinking water was provided, so we didn't need to figure out how to lug a bunch of water from town for the duration of our stay. While the house is a bit "off the beaten path", there are other houses and hotels up and down the beach on either side, so you'll have neighbors. That certainly doesn't make it feel crowded in any way, but you probably wouldn't want to walk from the house out to the beach naked (unless that's your thing). This was a really great place, and we'll definitely be back.”
