Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Islay

We had a wonderful stay! The pictures don’t do justice how spacious and lovely the place is- both indoors and outdoors. We spent most of our time in the little conservatory space, as it was the brightest room and you could see the sea in the distance. Overall the place is very thoughtfully set up, and so beautiful! There were a few board games, great books, binoculars to watch birds, and enough firewood for a night! They also provided tourist maps of the region that were super cute and helpful. It’s isolated so you need to drive to Campbeltown to get any supplies (like more firewood like we did!) but it’s quite close by so easy enough. Truly a special spot! We could have stayed for weeks.

What a wonderful place. I have been coming to the island since I was a boy and this was the first year I could bring my own child to enjoy the most magical place. The house is perfect. A stunning location, clean, warm and spacious. We had a wonderful week and made some truly special memories. We will return!

Charming home oozing with history and character. The comfortable furnishings made for a cozy stay, and we loved the authentic touches throughout. Watching the lambs graze around the property was such a delightful experience—truly a peaceful and picturesque retreat. Highly recommend for anyone looking to escape to a charming, rural setting with a touch of history.

Would highly recommend Beach view cottage. It was clean, comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The location is also ideal for staying on the beautiful island of Gigha - an easy short walk to the beach, Achamore gardens or for a drink at The Boathouse. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Wonderfully comfortable house in a magical spot by a loch. Great for a family group with a big kitchen and sitting room. Lots of space for everyone.

We had a lovely stay in Gigha, beautiful beaches, great cycling, lots of wildlife and friendly community. It’s a special Island to make lots of memories. Kate’s house is ideally located near the local store, cafe & restaurant & easy access to the whole of the island. The house is great with everything you need for a relaxing holiday….. we didn’t want to leave! Many thanks to Kate & Nicola.

A very memorable stay in such a unique location. Ned and Toni could not have been better hosts, they made arriving on the island easy. We swam, did some fishing, spotted lots of wildlife and marine life. Sitting around the fire pit was a highlight in the evenings. The place was really well equipped, they have thought of everything! Our dog also had a great time of course.

We had an amazing stay at the Doll's House. Marie & Ellis are lovely hosts and we instantly felt right at home. The cottage is the perfect size, with a lovely view from living room and front porch. The kitchen is well stocked which is sometimes a rarity with Airbnb. Located close to the Gigha ferry it's a perfect spot to explore the rest of Kintyre. Highly recommended and we hope to return soon.

Lea’s place is great. I am an Airb&b user and her place was one of the best. Very clean and organised. Large apartment near the city centre. All the instructions you need easy to understand and free on street parking. I would give her 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if they would be available. If you want to book the place, just do it! what a wonderful find! Coorue Doon is beautiful, comfortable, immaculate and peaceful. We had such a great time that we can't wait to come back. The area is stunning and steeped in history. We highly recommend this cottage, it wont disappoint! Try the Tayvallich Inn for fab meal and gorgeous scenery

Home had everything we needed for our family from 7 months to 60! Great and helpful host and lots of extras in the house. Very comfortable and relaxing. Good beds and bedding with curtains that blocked light early morning. Thanks for a lovely stay.

This was our third stay at the Lodge and as before we absolutely loved it. The Lodge is so cosy and the garden is beautiful. The area is quiet and off the beaten track. The prosecco and the espresso machine were much appreciated added touches. We will absolutely be back! Thanks!

Had an amazing time in the Rusty hut. Everything was exactly as described and Pi's directions were very helpful in finding the place. Super cozy inside with the wood fireplace and an absolutely tranquil back garden where we could watch the birds at the feeders. A short drive from the main town, so easy to get to and from the ferry. Will definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing stay, the Shepherd’s hut was beautifully furnished, tidy, and cozy - it has all you need! Being around the farm life is incredible. Watching the baby sheep frolick during a beautiful sunset is surreal. And the view… one of the best I’ve ever seen. Bang for your buck.

Bluebell cabin was a great wee place, quirky and fun. Karen greeted us on arrival and was very friendly and welcoming. The views from the cabin are stunning, we watched a roe deer grazing in the field opposite. We woke early and had a cup of tea on the viewing deck and enjoyed the tranquility. The cabin is well designed and equipped for a comfortable stay. The ladder up to the sleeping area was definitely a challenge for a 62 year old with an arthritic hip and vertigo but I managed it several times, much to my husbands amusement. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay at Catherine’s shepherds hut. It had everything we could have needed and was in a beautiful location!

Fantastic place to get away from it all if you really want to get away from it all. Dark sky area, views over to Islay and Jura, terrific sunsets, (if you get the weather). We'll certainly be booking again.

Absolutely stunning place to stay! Me and my partner booked two nights at The Barn for my 30th Birthday. Catherine’s instructions on how to find the property was spot on! We loved sitting outside and listening to the surroundings. The sea view was lovely to look out on to! On arrival the property was spotless & wood was ready for us to use the hot tub! The handbook was very helpful on things to do in the area & how to start up the hot tub! You wouldn’t think you were on a working farm, we heard nothing & felt so private. Travelling from North Yorkshire was definitely worth it!!! We will be back again!

Beautiful place and excellent spot to visit the amazing Islay. Karen was great gave us eating place tips and stopped with Richard to pick us up as we walked back to the cabin from Port Ellen. Peaceful, lovely scenery and a joy to spend some time on the beach close by on Midsummer.
