Enjoy a timeless experience at this inn, surrounded by the garden of the Nanbu family, lords of the Morioka domain (now the Morioka Chuo Community Center Garden), and the Nakatsugawa River, a symbol of Morioka that has flowed through the heart of the castle town since the Edo period. Just a 1-minute walk away across the street is a strolling garden. According to legend, this garden was known as the “Oyaku-en” because it was used to grow medicinal herbs for Morioka Castle. Located right in front of it, this house displays a sign that reads “Oyakuenmae” and began offering private lodging in April 2026. We are renovating this 50-year-old building to create a space that honors the past while embracing the future. Our goal is to create a home-like stay in Iwate where you'll feel at ease and want to return again and again. We are dedicated to helping you enjoy a truly relaxing experience here.

We are renting a private room in a beautiful house that was built three years ago. There are two Japanese-style rooms, which can accommodate 4 people each and a maximum of 8 people.The bathroom is shared and is of normal type in general household. You can also use the kitchen if you wish to cook for yourself. Two Japanese traditional room which is separated with Fusuma(Japanese slide door). ※We provide Futon for sleep. 4 people can sleep in one room, Max 8 people. I'm not good at speaking English, but we love to welcome all the guest. I have experience to live abroad (Saudi Arabia and others) for several years, so I believe we can communicate by heart!
