Built about 100 years ago, Dongchonjae is a traditional Hanok officially certified by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Tourism Organization. Dongchonjae has been operated since October 2020 by a retired couple who opened their home. Dongchonjae is on a 380.17m² plot of land It consists of one building, and the space is divided into the main building (Anche/Main House), Sarangchae/Detached House, and Annex. Guests have exclusive use of the main house and the annex. The host lives in the detached house, and will personally assist you with necessary services such as providing breakfast. I hope you can comfortably feel the tranquil beauty and subtle atmosphere of a traditional hanok at Dongchonjae. Sungshin Hanok is divided into a main building and an annex, and each has its own separate entrance gate, which ensures privacy. The main building is a 156.8-square-meter (47-pyeong) space used exclusively by one group. The annex is used as a laundry room for managing bedding. Please refer to the drawing in the picture. This is a guesthouse registered as a hanok experience business! Due to the nature of Hanok, various insects may appear even if quarantine is performed. This is an inevitable natural phenomenon.
