Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Johor Bahru District

We were so impressed upon checking in that we started texting our friends almost immediately, recommending this place for their upcoming trip to JB. Host (Eric): Replies quickly and communicates clearly before and during the stay. Listing is true to photos and description. Thoughtful gestures like offering late check-out without being asked are especially appreciated—particularly during our one-night stays with long travel ahead, especially we were traveling with elderly family members and children with special needs. A stocked fridge at no charge is also a standout touch. Muslim-friendly utensils are available in special locked cabinets. The house: All areas are impeccably clean and comfortable. Air conditioning and water heaters are fully functioning, and the bathrooms are equipped with extractors. Built and finished using premium materials throughout. Pool and BBQ area were a highlight. Value for money: offers excellent quality and experience for the price.

Dina’s place was amazing. It was large enough to accommodate our family of 8 adults 2 kids, and the driveway in the compound is large enough to park 2 cars. The amenities in the house were great, TV and Internet works well and the swimming pool was nice good size for the kids to enjoy. Overall a private, safe, quiet estate with security guards on duty. Dina is also very responsive and generous - we had a whole complimentary cake waiting for us! Overall great stay. Will recommend.

We were travelling with extended family and there were a grand total of 11 of us. We had a room each and the house catered right ot our need. Everything was clean and functional. The location felt safe and there were malls and eateries within driving proximity. We spent 1 of the day in Legoland and again, the location was close to places of attraction. Will definitely return again.

House was really clean, feet feels great on the floor. Different facilities to engage both young and old in the house. A lot of space to hang out and chill. Comfortable sleep. Has everything needed, including slippers to hangout at the outdoor area. Host was warm and welcoming, sending clear instructions for check in and recommendations of places to go. The host is extremely nice and pro-active, even messaging me on the day itself that the house is ready early and I can check in early if I wish, though I didn't request for it. On my last day, as it takes time to call grab for the large group, host was kind and understanding when I asked for 15mins extra time during check out. House is big enough to house a big group and has sufficient toilets. Still feels spacious even with 14 of us.

Wonderful stay at the double story house. Adequate beddings for two families. Good security as it is the first unit after the guard house. Clear instructions given and host is very responsive. Superb. However, the ground floor feels warm in the daytime as there is no aircon on ground floor. The children enjoyed playing at the pool table too.

Having stayed at a couple of Airbnbs in Malaysia, this is easily one of the best accommodations, hands down. From the responsive and friendly hosts, to the spotless and well-designed house, we felt right at home immediately upon checking in. While other previous accommodations have felt sterile (i.e. really just a place to stay in) , the Grove House stands out with its warm touches like providing toiletries and towels, and all necessary kitchenware. Special thanks also to the hosts for being quick to update and even gave us a bottle of wine to apologise for the late check-in due to a delay in cleaning. When we accidentally left a cooler bag with items in the fridge and left JB, they were also kind enough to help us keep it at their office for us to pick up the week after. Minor point (not the fault of the hosts!) is that is surroundings may be noisy (e.g. when cars drive past, dogs barking), but they have provided ear plugs for those who need it. We will be back the next time in JB!

whatever you see is whatever you get and that's absolutely worth it. the place is huge for a my group of 4. we were there for only one night with a VERY HOT weather. the aircond works fine but took long to cook the living areas. other than that, would love to return. host was very responsive which is greatly appreciated 👍

Nice place to get together with your siblings families. Mr. ben is really proactive. Ms. su and uncle leong also helpful. communication is no problem at all. Big dinning hall for all of is to have a breakfast lunch n dinner. karaoke room is good. both 2nd floor master bed room bed is comfortable. amenities and convenience shops is nearby. and about less than 10min to tebing dato onn. automated gate with outdoor cctv. the house is quite old but bali vibes. swimming pool need to clean a bit due to the fallen leaves from the garden area. just follow the house rules especially when throw rubbish. must do it properly if not monkey will do "outdoor party" at the rubbish bin. overall wonderful experience.

2nd time staying with this host, 2 separate units & both were great! Clean and has everything you need, hosts are super prompt with sending check-in instructions, settling bike parking registration and general replies digital lock so its fuss free and easy to check in too I think lately mt austin area has been gg through construction so you may hear some noises but it wasn't an issue for us, should be during day time working hours generally

Great place, direct access to Paradigm Mall. Quite near to other malls too. The whole house is clean, well maintained. The owner is very responsive. Everyone enjoyed the stay.

A very clean and homey place that has plenty of massages, restaurants and eco galleria literally just downstairs! Jaya grocer is just a few mins away and is such a fab supermarket with international brands that we love. Checking in and out werea breeze too. Security was super secure too which made us feel very safe at all times. The host was also v kind to provide a cot for our baby. The TV was preloaded with TV games that entertained my 2 older boys so much!

I had a wonderful stay!! The place was very well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. It felt just like home — cozy and super comfortable. One of the best things was how fully equipped the apartment was. From kitchen utensils to laundry facilities, everything I needed was already provided. It really made our stay easy and convenient, especially when traveling with kids. The location was another huge plus. It’s very close to LEGOLAND, just a few minutes away walking. That made it perfect for our trip, as we didn’t have to worry about long travel times after a full day at the theme park. Overall, I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting the area. Everything was a breeze from placing the reservation to checking out. Cathryn maintained the residence very well and it was a homely and lovely accommodation.

Clean and cozy place that really felt like home 🩷 I loved the mix of yellow and white lighting — very warm and comfy. The bed was soft but supportive, and there were extra pillows and a mattress in the cupboard, which was a nice touch. The kitchen was well-equipped for simple cooking, perfect for a family trip. The fridge was large and cold enough, and the balcony was convenient for smokers. Great stay overall — I’d happily come back and recommend it to friends visiting Johor.

Great, convenient location and the apartment was clean and comfortable. The air-conditioning worked very well and and was a nice, cool relief from the warm weather. Shampoo and body soap was pleasant and lovely to use. The place was well equipped and the decor welcoming. We would absolutely stay here again and look forward to future trips.

Had a fab stay at Kym’s place! 🧳✨ Super easy to find and just a stone’s throw from City Square Mall—perfect for food, shopping, or emergency bubble tea runs. 😄 Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the apartment had everything I needed, right down to the tiniest detail. Kym was a gem—quick to respond and gave instructions so clear even my GPS felt appreciated. 📍 Only one bummer: the sofa had seen better days (looked like someone forgot what a coaster—or common sense—was 🥲). So here’s a friendly note to fellow guests: let’s help keep the place lovely for everyone and treat it like our own home (except maybe cleaner). 💁🏻‍♀️✨ Would definitely book again—minus the mystery stains!

My family enjoyed staying there. The place is clean and have a nice scenery at a high floor. Host is friendly, responsive and gave clear instructions.

Had an absolute wonderful stay. Unit: Exact match of what is shown in the pictures. Spotless clean. Bed linens, towels, toilet and living space are really clean. Had everything ready including toiletries for a ready stay. Wifi provided is super fast. Shower pressure is also strong for an enjoyable bath. Multiple aircon units with a ceiling fan in the living space. Unit comes fully equipped with many electronic appliances and kitchen ware including a game console for kids. Host: Very responsive, replies almost instantly to clarify any queries. LC is also very hospitable, was suprised that she even provided welcome snacks (plus point). Location: Literally walkable distance to Bigbox (5mins) and nearby eateries. Regretfully stayed for only one night, yet to immerse and enjoy the cosy unit fully. Will not think twice about staying here if i were to visit this area again. Overall fantastic unit and fabulous host. Highly recommended.

We booked this place really last minute and we’re glad that Sylvia could accommodate. The communication was very clear with step by step guide on how to check in and get to the place. Once we reach the apartment, we were blown away by how cosy and clean the apartment was. it was really cosy that we felt just like home. Everything was clean and even though it was like a studio apartment, it had more than enough space for 4 pax. We had only 2 pax and the space felt really comfortable. Overall good experience, Sylvia is also very responsive and makes you feel safe and assured. If you’re driving, the location is accessible to a lot of places. If i had to list a cons, the only cons would be that the toilet window is at the corridor, however that is not an issue as you can always just close it. And the place is really safe and secure that residents would probably not bother. Do give this place a shot, i will highly recommend.
