Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Kainuu

Our holiday in Lehtikerp was idyllic and we had a great time. It's like a hidden gem. The house, sauna building, and surrounding milieu were all unique, which brought a fabulous ambiance. Everything worked well, there was plenty of room for a larger group, and Kari was a great host. We can recommend Lehtikerppu to others in need of the Kainuu region as well. You won't go into this place with love!

Everything was working well, the place was very peaceful and well located in the heart of Paljakka.

We spent over a week at Andre's place and it's a true winter paradise! House is super cozy and warm. Kitchen has everything you may need. Beach sauna and hot tub were a heaven after a cold, snowy day outside. We also were very lucky to see the most bright, beautiful and strong aurora just above the house, that made our stay very special. Andre was very helpful and responsive ❤️

We had an incredible stay at Esko’s place! The location is absolutely stunning, right by the lake, offering breathtaking views and the perfect setting for relaxation. Esko recommended fishing, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience for us. The surroundings are incredibly quiet, providing the most peaceful nights we’ve ever had—ideal for a good night’s sleep. The house itself is cozy and felt just like home. When we arrived, the house was already warm and welcoming, which we deeply appreciated. The location is also very convenient, with close proximity to larger cities like Rovaniemi, Oulu, and Kajaani. It’s also near ski resorts. Having sauna is amazing A short drive away, the town of Puolanka offers everything you might need. Additionally, there’s excellent connectivity in the area, so we had no issues accessing mobile internet during our stay. We highly recommend Esko’s place for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. A cozy and cozy militia house with everything you need. The house had plenty of room for a family with children to do both indoors and outdoors. The location was peaceful and within convenient distance of Ukkohalla. We had a great time!

We spent three wonderful days in this accommodation from 03/25 to 3/28/2025 and could not have asked for a better place for our stay. The cottage is modern, stylishly furnished and really offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The location right on the water with picturesque lake views is simply breathtaking. We loved waking up in the morning with this fantastic view and enjoying the tranquility of nature. The private hot tub and sauna were absolute highlights – perfect for relaxing after a long day in the fresh air. The check in was super easy, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Everything was immaculately clean and lovingly prepared. We can fully recommend this place and would be happy to come back!

Great location, just renovated, so for example, the sauna and bathroom were on top of the last one. There was plenty of room for two adults. We searched for a peaceful ski resort for Christmas and New Year, and we got it.

Very nice and peaceful place. Communication with hosts went smoothly. Recommended. The circulating air cook has not been cleaned from an earlier guest, but it was overcome when we washed it ourselves before using it.

Beautiful and modern cottage quite close to Vuokatti and sports activities there. Soili was really helpful and friendly in her communication. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

Had a lovely time with my family at Pekka's listing, the villa was situated in a nice location and we had access to a nice lake. Definitely recommend this to anyone with a big family looking for a cosy space!

Beautiful scenery on the lake. Nice summer cottage with a good location. Fishing and visiting Ärjänsaari was possible with our own boat, which we were able to launch from the boat launch site near the cottage's pier. Dishwasher and indoor toilet + shower definitely a plus.

We felt very comfortable. In a beautiful place. In the city still in the greenery and by the river. The outdoor area with the great view could be even more cozy. The grill was not enough for me (small and too little heat). Still a great stay.

We really enjoyed the time here! The location of the house is perfect, nicely quiet on a lake but still not far away to drive to supermarkets or do activities. The house is lovingly furnished and there is everything you need for your stay. Of course, we particularly appreciated the hot tub and the sauna. It was a wonderful stay and we would definitely come again!
