This is one of the few remaining pure Japanese-style shoin-zukuri buildings in Hiroshima City, built 75 years ago, shortly after the war.One step from the main street, in a quiet environment, there is a small Japanese-style garden where you can relax. Some of the items on display at the Dance House include a pot that partially melted due to the heat from the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, and photographs from around 100 years ago. The fixtures and glassware date back more than 70 years, and the two gardens, the hearth, and the study, in particular, capture the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese home. Currently, these items can only be obtained by placing orders with a select group of artisans. Of the 5 rooms, 3 are tatami rooms, so please lay a futon on the tatami when you go to bed. From the nearest station (tram stop ②), you can reach the Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome, as well as the city center, in about 20–30 minutes. The taxi ride takes about 10 minutes. You'll find everything you need for daily living right in the neighborhood at the large shopping mall, Youme Town Hiroshima. It is surrounded by four white-walled storehouses built in the Edo period and four gardens. It has been gradually renovated and revitalized (currently in the process of revitalization), including the white plaster walls and natural Kenji-ji bamboo fences.Originally an old house opened as an almost 100% inbound accommodation.We are conducting a semi open-air bath in the interior of the warehouse and renovation work centered around the water. ■ Soothing moss garden ■ There are three moss gardens: the front garden, the middle garden, and the back garden. On sunny days, enjoy morning coffee on the large wooden deck. In the cold winter, warm up with a wood stove, and make and eat a delicious meal yourself. Play your favorite music, and read surrounded by books lining the walls. Take a walk to Gero Station while catching a glimpse of life in Gero. Fishing at sea, picking azaleas, bamboo shoots, and wild potatoes in the mountains, and eating them yourself. Long stays are recommended. Based at Shimonada Cabin, it is about an hour's drive to Matsuyama City. 2.5 hours to Shimanto River. 3 hours to Shikoku Karst. Shopping can be done in Iyo City or Nagahama Town, or you can buy from local fishmongers and greengrocers and cook for yourself. Of course, you can also eat at a nearby restaurant if you book. Anyway, I want you to relax at Shimonada Cabin. One night is too wasteful. I recommend at least 2 days. It is a place that can be enjoyed in good weather or bad.
