Listing for〈1 beds/ 12 bedroom〉. YAWP! backpackers is a small hostel because the focus is placed on cultural exchange and a comfortable environment. As I traveled around the world visiting over 100 hostels, I found that small hostels could be enjoyable too. I hope to invite travelers around the world, and they gather together, enjoy stories, relax as friends under a common roof, and above all, sleep well ! My goal is to provide the most comfortable and friendly hostel accommodations in Japan.

Shizuoka, guesthouse & coffeeshop「Hitoyado」

12 minutes on foot from Shizuoka station, Hitoyado is a guest house with a renovated 50 year old coffee shop on the first floor. There are restaurants and public baths in the neighborhood. It offers a simple breakfast for 550 yen (your choice of drink and toast). The facility's check-in time is from 2 PM to 8 PM. Please note that we cannot accept check-ins after 8 PM. Early check-in and luggage storage are possible. Please contact us in advance. Please stop by when you’re in Shizuoka City!

SARUYA - Twin Room #8 in Modern Traditional Hostel

Our private room features 1 or 2 futon beds on traditional tatami floors. The shared areas include bathrooms, dining space and a work/lounge/library area. The hostel Saruya Hostel opened in 2015 in Fujiyoshida, a city at the bottom of Mt Fuji. We renovated an 80 years old wooden house to create a place that allows our guests to experience time and space through carefully selected art, design and objects, mixing traditional Japanese inspiration with modern aesthetics.

Irori guesthouse -Tenmaku- It is opened in 2018 after spending 7month for renovation of an old Japanese ryokan. You can enjoy "Irori" which is Japanese traditional fire pit, in our common space. Also, you can try some craft beer and picked up Japanese sake at bar The location offers good access to the Hakone Open-Air Museum and the station.
