Barn holiday rentals in Kennet and Avon Canal

This is an excellent location! Taxi stand across the street and of course the train station, about 10 minutes to Bath on the train. It was clean and tidy, and a good kitchen, everything you need, with a Sainsbury express right across the street to stock up. I did not have a car, but there is parking. And you can walk over the train tracks to the pub, the Old Road Tavern.

We had a fantastic short break at the Old Dairy. The accommodation is very spacious and airy and has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. Also, the village and surrounding countryside are beautiful, yet we were only a few miles from Bath. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

great stay at Carolyns place. quiet, peaceful with stunning views. Carolyn went above and beyond to assist with my requests. kids beds are for small kids so check beforehand as our 9 year old just fit the bottom bunk. we had a nice meal at the local pub and really enjoyed it. great getaway highly recommended.

We were in the area for a wedding at Malmesbury and the location was great, only a short drive away. 15/20 mins to Chippenham and Wootton Bassett so well connected (for a rural property). A generous range of basic foods made our stay much easier. Check in instructions were very simple and our host was very communicative. Would recommend.

From booking, right through to leaving the property was straightforward, accurately advertised and backed up by support and advice as needed. A beautiful property in a stunning location where attention to detail and fabulous finishing touches have been added.

Excellent accommodation and location, we had a very pleasant stay. Hosts were very friendly and approachable, Chestnut Barn was very well layout, charming and homely. The bottle of wine, Bath Soft Cheese, and the breakfast Crossants were lovely and greatly appreciated. We visited Bath, Bristol and went to the Bath soft cheese farm for lunch. All very enjoyable, and well worth seeing, met up with family at local pub, and had an excellent stay. We look forward to visiting again. Many thanks Colin and Julie xx

We only stayed for one night and it was a perfect stop off. Nice touches from Trish, she had provided us with Milk, eggs and other nice things. Good to wake up to the alpacas, goats and guinea fowl in the field beyond the garden…our puppy was very excited!

Carthorse Barn is just simply stunning ! So spacious and beautifully decorated, we felt right at home . The day we arrived weather was not the greatest so having a wood stove was blissful. The cottage is very spacious and has everything needed for a comfortable stay , kitchen is fully equipped, downstairs toilet a welcomed bonus. Upstairs both bedrooms are immaculate, spacious and have very comfy beds . I loved the window bench in the kids bedroom, such a wonderful nook to relax. The main bedroom has the biggest and comfiest bed I have ever seen , such a beautiful wooden headboard too. I loved the free standing bath. The farm is also lovely and we enjoyed going to see the pigs and walking round the lakes.

Great place to stay. I loved the style and how it was decorated. Really clean open space. Everything you need for a night or a week. Walking distance of town, close to some lovely pubs (one of which is right across the road). Lii ok belt few walks close by too. We even managed a walk up the towpath of the canal. Couldn’t have asked for more!

It’s a great location for kids as they have a very nice field right in front of the house. House is kept top notch with very clean bed sheets.

Thank you for a lovely stay at the barn, spacious for us and our dog but it also had a really cosy feel to it. It has everything you would need, fully equipped kitchen, nice sofa’s and large TV with sky TV for those chilled out evenings. Lovely comfy bed and a big powerful shower. Great location for Oxford and Cotswolds. Good communication with Mel who is a great host. Thank you again 😊.

Can’t thank Catherine enough. Incredibly helpful from booking the stay until we left. It’s a beautiful cosy barn, very peaceful indeed and we slept like babies. Catherine had thought of everything and we even had a welcome hamper with lovely bits x Really easy quick walks to the cheddar gorge. Catherine’s welcome guide explained everything and really did help immensely. Thank you, thank you !! We will highly recommend to our friends and family and will certainly stay again. We had a wonderful stay at The Barn to celebrate two special family birthdays. It was even better than the photos, which is not always the case, and provided an extremely comfortable and open space to relax in, and great outdoor area. It definitely had the 'wow factor' for us and we couldn't believe our luck when we arrived. Really nicely furnished and a very well equipped kitchen, along with three immaculate bedrooms and bathrooms. Having a separate TV room was a bonus and made made the main area much more sociable. Charlie and Ali were friendly and helpful during our stay. We all had a great time, and so did Wilf (the dog), and can absolutely recommend staying here. We would love to visit again at some point in the future. Thanks very much for a happy and memorable stay.

A lovely stay, convenient location near the mais roads but very quiet and super comfortable. The homemade bread loaf and jam made it even more delightful the experience. Thanks Carol, for the friendly attitude and the quality of your offerings!

We stayed at this AirBnB for 3 nights and this place is amazing, especially if you like the country side of England! Close to many amenities (hiking, grocery stores, southampton) as well as less than hour from top attractions (Stonehenge, etc). The cottage itself is very comfortable for 4 adults with a full furnished kitchen to cook for your family or/and friends. The place also had a washer/dryer available which was very useful before our cruise. Thanks you again for the stay! We will be back for sure !

Extremely peaceful and private location. The property is really nicely decorated with a massive comfy bed. Annie the host was really friendly and attentive. We had a lovely stay.

Jo was a great host. Short walk into Frome by pavement or across the fields and along the river side into town. Nice garden with a chiminea and table and chairs for 4. PS Dogs also enjoyed their stay.

Valerie’s cottage is very peaceful and is the perfect place to stay while visiting the Cotswolds. The Old House Barn is very clean and had all the amenities you will need. Valerie provided us great recommendations for places to visit and some great restaurants. She is also quick to respond to any messages. I definitely give her and The Old House Barn 5 stars! We enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again in the future!

i loved my stay at the old stables, beautiful home with enclosed garden for the dog, great facilities and location. beautiful walks and short drive to lots of places. brilliant pub close by. highly recommend and victoria was great x

We was very lucky to have thos accommodation booked for the week for work purposes. An amazing house , clean, tidy and very peaceful setting. It was a pleasure staying here. And hopefully we get to re book when working in the area again

The Barn is absolutely stunning, as shown in the pictures. Fully equipped with absolutely everything you need and more, top of the range equipment, the furniture, furnishings, bathroom and the gorgeous bedroom, with its amazing bed!!! Elana & Bernard are really lovely hosts and their attention to detail and eye for quality is fantastic. We really didn’t want to leave and would love to return again in the future!
