Faris was a great host, kind and full of good recommendations for our stay. He is an experienced traveler full of interesting stories and experiences which you can tell by the way he leads his hostel. I especially loved the map of Kigali and the bookshelf. There is a mini kitchen to prepare food, a supermarket and restaurants are within walking distance.

I would like to highly recommend Alexis Mugabo, host of Haven Apartment, for his outstanding professionalism, integrity, and support. I had made a reservation through the Airbnb platform, but unfortunately, due to a technical issue, the platform showed my room as unavailable—even after I had already paid. The process of securing a refund through Airbnb was complicated and stressful. Throughout this experience, Alexis went above and beyond. He was not only supportive but also took it upon himself to personally ensure I was refunded the full amount. He followed up consistently and even reached out to confirm that I had successfully received the refund. His communication was prompt, kind, and solution-oriented—qualities that are rare and deeply appreciated in a host. Thanks to Alexis, what could have been a frustrating situation turned into a reminder that genuine hospitality still exists. I highly recommend Haven Apartment to anyone looking for a place where the host truly cares about

This is such a wonderful place for anyone who enjoys a laid-back and simple experience instead of something overly fancy. If you’re attending a conference at Kigali Convention Centre, you’ll be happy to know it’s just a short walk away! You'll find plenty of great restaurants that feel right at home in a cosy, middle-class neighbourhood. Local shops are also nearby, perfect for anyone wanting to dive into the local lifestyle. Plus, it’s an amazing deal with a super friendly host and Manager (Jean Paul)! I particularly loved the lemongrass(M-chai-chai) growing around the house and made myself a cup of lemongrass tea every day—it really made me feel at home.
