We loved our stay with Niamh and Joe. I didn't think the pictures did justice to their artsy decor with humorous touches. And the elegant breakfast room was a welcome bonus. First class :) Joe was very helpful in giving us pamphlets of things to do in the city and surrounding area as well as a page of dining suggestions. The house is a short walk to all kinds of dining and shops, as well as the castle. We stumbled across a lovely trail which followed the river, bringing us out to the far end of the castle grounds. We recommend this for an evening stroll.

Agnes is a lovely and very caring host. We felt right at home, everything was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was more then we could have asked for. She also has a bunch of recommendations for Kilkenny and surroundings. We will definitely come back should we be in Ireland again and can only recommend a stay at her house :)

Sebastian welcomed us at the bar for check-in, showed us to our room, asked us if we needed assistance with our bags & demonstrated how to get in if we were returning to the hotel after midnight. Bedroom & unsuited bathroom were immaculately clean & tidy. Bed was very comfortable & a TV in the room too, clear instructions to connect to the WiFi. Fresh water provided on a hot sticky night.

Oonagh was a great host, so welcoming and accommodating, and her B&B was just lovely. Very homely, spacious, clean, inviting. Only a very short drive into town too, not too long a walk. We only stayed one night but could have happily stayed more. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

In our many years of experience with Airbnb, we only once took a room instead of the entire accommodation. This was our SECOND experience, and IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER... WHAT A LUXURY and WHAT A PLEASURE Debbie and Joe are as hosts...!!! Warm, friendly, helpful, FLEXIBLE with the check-in schedule, while prudent and located. The room with a private bathroom is PERFECT. Small, but more than enough and comfortable for 2 people. Bright, with all the necessary supplies. The location: UNBEATABLE. Without hesitation, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for a stay in the lovely city of Kilkenny.
