　There are only 10 houses in Tarukuchi Village.It is at the foot of Mt. Iitoyama, Oguni, Yamagata Prefecture.The village has a river running through it, but the villages have always been short of water because they are on the slopes of a mountain above the river.Even digging the well, only brown water comes out. So about 100 years ago, I cut a huge cedar tree that was growing in the village and sold it to a temple in Kyoto.With that money, the villagers tried to dig a tunnel in the back mountain. However, the men who came to the construction made the first day pretending to be doing construction and ran away.The villagers succeeded in digging their own tunnels and pulling out the creek that flows behind the mountain. Then for 100 years, this water has been used as a precious water for the village. Tarukuchi Village is fishing in Iwana in spring with mountain cherry blossoms and snow melting water.And wild plants.Not only is it common, such as Wallabi Zemmai Udo, You can enjoy precious wild plants that do not appear on the market. In the summer, it is cool and comfortable in the morning and evening when it is hot during the day.The only thing that needs attention is a small abu called Mejiro.Please be careful not to get stung. In autumn, the autumn leaves can be burning.And lots of different kinds of mushrooms. Snow over 3 meters in winter.It has a firewood stove.
