We really enjoyed Asa's place. It was very clean and had everything you would need: dishes, utensils, a book with detailed instructions on every major appliance in the house. Asa responded quickly to our queries and was very nice over messages, we did not see each other face to face. We would love to be back some day 🙂

This was, without question, the most incredible Airbnb I have ever stayed at. The house is so private and cozy, the surroundings are absolutely gorgeous, and the views are amazing from every angle. I was so sad to leave that I was actually crying as we drove away. I hope to be back someday, this is such a special spot.

The place is exactly as described. I loved that it was conveniently located in the city and a lot of things were very walkable. The hosts were very responsive and gave helpful tips about the area. Highly recommended for anyone traveling to Iceland.

Absolutely amazing Airbnb, well worth the money!! It is in a beautiful location with incredible views. The house is very well maintained and beautifully designed. Everything is spotlessly clean. The house was a bit warm when we arrived. However, the windows have screens so they can be opened easily to let in air without letting bugs in. There’s also fans in the bedrooms, so it was very comfortable and easy to cool down the house as needed.

A beautiful place at a beautiful and peaceful location easily accessible to Reykjavik and Thingvellir onwards to Strokkur. The house is clean, and as described. Unnur is easily accessible and respond to queries promptly.

The apartment was great: clean, close to shops and restaurants, and in a quiet neighborhood. It was peaceful and had everything we needed. Beds were comfy and at night, it was quiet. We were able to make coffee in the morning with no issue. We loved our stay and were able to get an earlier check in, which was so kind. So appreciate it!

Anna was very responsive and the apartment was great. It was in a great spot and I would recommend it here especially for the price. I would definitely stay here again. She also provided many amenities.

I don't know where to start. We were tired from an overnight flight and when we got to the apartment we felt so relaxed. Disa is a wonderful hostess and it was such a pleasure to have several conversations with her. She is so energetic and friendly. Skagafell was so comfortable to be in. Phenomenal bed, plenty of hot water and very nice temperature inside. Several times we saw horses go through and saw several herds as we approached our place. You can't go wrong renting this unique place.

My husband and I had a great stay here. The place was very comfortable and we appreciated having a washer and a well equipped kitchen. Being close to grocery stores was great and the area is very walkable. We did rent a car to go exploring and was able to park right in front of the airbnb. My favourite was the view of the mountain from the window! Thanks for a great stay :)

Thordis was an amazing host. Her apartment felt very homey and she provided clear and concise instructions on how to check-in and use the amenities. Her home is located on the coast which is very walkable to view the birds and wildlife throughout the area. We stayed in her home for 2 days to explore Reykjavik and the golden circle and felt that the location was a great starting point for both!

The apartment, nestled in the basement of Sigurður’s house (with its own private entrance), was comfortable and spacious for our family of 4. There were nearby gas stations, supermarket, and restaurants. Drive to Reykjavik was easy and convenient. Availability of washer and dryer in the apartment was super convenient. The surroundings were scenic and beautiful. A cute fluffy cat was patrolling the premises and would periodically check in on us through the windows! :) We had a great time in Iceland!

What an incredible location! An easy drive to the major natural attractions in Southwest Iceland, but out in the country nestled on a fjord. The tiny apartment is a bit bare-bones, but comfortable and well-maintained. We would definitely recommend this as a peaceful home base.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb during our pre-wedding shoot in Iceland, and it truly added to the magic of the whole experience. The place was spotless and incredibly spacious — exactly what we needed to relax and get ready between shoots. We stayed at Gunnar’s apartment for a week during our visit to Reykjavík. The location was good and pretty central to restaurants and attractions we wanted to visit. We did rent a car which made travel much easier and the parking was abundant and not too expensive. The apartment itself was clean overall although some areas had some dust. No complaints here, it wasn’t a big deal. Gunnar did advertise that the apartment house(d) two cats but as someone with cat allergies I had no problem with any fur or cat dander. FYI, across Iceland the hot water is heated geothermically which gives off a sulfur smell, so don’t be alarmed. Thanks Gunnar, for allowing us to stay at your apartment during the week! Ken + Jenn

A comfortable and practical apartment within easy walking distance of the hospital, which was the purpose of the trip. Close to a grocery store, the scenic Fossvogur trail, and not too far from Sky Lagoon. A great restaurant is just around the corner. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

What an absolutely wonderful Airbnb experience. The apartment was beautiful and super-clean, and the view was stunning! We loved looking out the window at the ocean in the evenings, and we took a lovely walk along the seafront one morning. We took day trips to the Golden Circle and the Snaefellsnes peninsula, and we were an easy drive from Reykjavik. Best of all, Salvor Lilja and her husband were amazing hosts. We enjoyed a sunset soak in the hot tub, and they very kindly provided a selection of beverages and Icelandic treats. They also very thoughtfully left the apartment stocked with amenities like coffee, tea, milk, beer, wine and chocolates. We would highly recommend to anyone!
