Machair House

PattyRating, 5 stars10 months ago
We loved our stay on Iona. Jamie was so kind and hospitable. And Will (who manages the property) was amazing too. He proactively offered to pick us up and drop us off at the ferry as the house is about a mile away. Friendliness and hospitality all around. We would love to come stay here again someday. The house is a sweet, comfortable, farm house. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are so soft. The house was very clean and organized. Easy to find whatever you need. Iona is rural and the house is about a mile outside of town but it is an easy (and beautiful) walk. Especially once you’ve settled into a slower pace - which is why you’re going to Iona! The sunsets are incredible. The house is on a working Croft so there will be sheep right outside your gate! The beaches are amazing with pink rocks and I never expected to see cows sunbathing on the beach, but there they were! All in all, we were sad to leave and will be back!

Achaban House: Small Group Rate

ElinaRating, 5 stars12 months ago
Matthew was a fantastic host. We had the entire house to ourselves. Very clean, accessible, includes all appliances (dishwasher, washer, dryer, huge stove, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, and freezer), excellent showers, plenty of bathrooms, good mattresses, and of course internet. We arrived late and hungry, and Matthew called around on our behalf to get us a last minute reservation. He also answered all of our questions really quickly prior to our arrival. Would absolutely recommend it and hope to come again. It sits a bit above the road as you come west from Craignure. As you drive up the driveway, a mossy standing stone greets you. Next time, I’ll make sure to ask about it. Beautiful sunsets. On the first night it was bright orange and on the second the sky had pink and blue patches that mixed to make lavender. Kitchen stocked with great coffee. Have a morning cup in the parlor by the window, and look at the long yellow racemes of the Golden Rain tree blowing in the wind.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay in the Shepherd's Hut! Angela was a great host and was very responsive. Everything was exactly as described and was perfectly clean and tidy. The duck eggs were a big bonus - thanks! The location is very peaceful and beautiful. Conveniently close to Craignure and Tobermory. Would highly recommend to anyone considering staying!

Pods at Port nan Gael Campsite

MariaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Location wise, this place is unbeatable! Cosy wee pod, spotlessly clean. We stayed as a couple only, and although there are extra beds to accommodate another two people I do feel that the pod would have felt a little cramped with the extra bodies. However as there were only the two of us it was just perfect. The full glass front is an absolute treat with a clear view of the loch, our highlight was being able to lie in bed with a glass of wine and watch the sun set behind the hills, or waking up early and watching the local wildlife on the loch without setting a foot out of bed! 10/10 on location! I recommend taking some binoculars as there are plenty of critters to spot from the pod. Overall a wonderful stay.

Maolbhuidhe B&B: close to Iona

RobinRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Maolbhuidhe is the perfect place to relax and unwind after long days of exploring Mull. Linda and Tim give you complete privacy downstairs, but are available if you have any needs! We slept so peacefully and looked forward to the long, hot shower and delicious breakfast made to order. Linda was so gracious and we enjoyed our morning chats with her. She made great recommendations for our dining choices and always had the contact information handy. If you like a comfortable bed, hot shower, amazing Scottish breakfast and a family of ducks outside your window to greet you in the morning, this is the place for you!

We had an amazing stay here at Zoes pod at Iona Camping. Great views, cozy pod with a heater if needed. Super clean toilet block and shared kitchen. Fire pit - get wood at spar or in mull. Host was super communicative 😊

Cosy Treshnish Shepherd’s Hut with sea views

DanielRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Amazing stay - enjoyed every second of it. The hut exceeded our expectations and was a lovely place to spend a few days. Beautiful views and surrounding countryside and only a 5-10 minute drive from one of the nicest beaches in the UK. Would highly recommend this place to anyone thinking of staying in Mull.
