Kactus is such an amazing accommodation. They have it all! Beautiful beach, groovy bar, yummy food, daily yoga, gym, sauna with ice bath and much more. The place has a wonderful hippy vibe and the staff is really friendly. This is a great place to do a phone detox (or any other detoxes you might need), be present and connect with the other guests, with nature, and yourself. There isn’t anything else on the island so make sure to have enough cash to pay and maybe some extra snacks if you get hungry in the middle of the night and the restaurant is closed. We would definitely love to come back another time.

Charming, rustic accommodation in a superb location -- right on the beach. We could swim and snorkel in our "front yard". The host and the housekeeper were communicative and helpful, always going above and beyond. We loved the village, which was less resort-y than other locations on the island, and gave us a chance to mingle with the Cambodian locals and even play with the kids. There were several restaurants that offered vegetarian dishes, and there was a store that sold produce we could cook for ourselves. Be aware that sound carries very well on the water and in the neighborhood, so noise may disturb some people. Also, be sure to bring a flashlight and insect repellent. We had a great 8 days here, and hope to return!

A cabin right in front of the beach. With a fan. The conditions are simple but enough for those who just want to relax. The entire staff is very friendly and provides everything we need, from food to boat and bus trips.

Wow, I had the most incredible time at Kactus. I stayed for 4 nights total and it really is such a special place! The food. the activities, all the different spaces, the bedrooms, all of it was amazing, I will one million percent be back. Thank you ❤️

Koh Rong Sanloem is just a quick boat ride from Sihanoukville, and Cupido is on the beach within easy walking (or swimming) distance of the pier. You will love this place. The host and owner built the cabins more as art in Cambodian style instead of money maker/squeezer, a pre-capitalistic style is what I call it. Goats and chickens and even a horse roam freely. There was a little boat available for free with the cabin too. Truly special at 2am with a full moon and a bottle of white wine, just floating about with the two of us, going out a few hundred yards. Also went out to the luminescent plankton. Unforgettable romantic experiences. We bought three kilos of freshly caught fish for ten dollars from children coming by selling their catch of the day (probably I overpaid :-). So we had our own bbq feast on the beach in front of our cabin. I hate to give such a positive review because there are only a few cabins. But I'm making reservations already for my next visit.

Wry close to village/town lots of places to eat and stroll on the beach. Great food and friendly locals.

Excellent stay at the edge of main beach, especially if you just want to relax by the sea or explore the island by yourself.

The service here is very good, which makes me feel good. I will come to visit again next time.

Our stay in the dome sea view was absolutely amazing! The private terrace with sunbeds was such a treat and perfect for relaxing. Although this particular dome was the furthest from the sea compared to the others, the view was still beautiful and we enjoyed every moment. The room itself was well-designed and comfortable, making for a unique and memorable experience. The breakfast was delicious. The staff here is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even took our luggage to the ferry terminal for us, so we didn’t have to carry it ourselves. Highly recommend staying here for a special getaway!

We had a great time staying here. Resort was right on the beach and easy to walk up and down the beach to restaurants. Resort staff were very friendly and helpful, we would happily stay here again.

Olga’s place was a lovely stay! The apartment was beautiful with a lovely sea view and pool. Olga was very helpful and friendly Something to note for other female travellers… although the building itself was very safe and had security, we did not feel safe in the the town when going out. Fortunately the apartment was lovely as we did have to spend most of the time there due to being harassed on multiple occasions by the men in the area

We had a wonderful stay at Lanting Villas. The location is absolutely stunning, and the property has everything you need. We loved the little in house restaurant by the ocean, not to mention the most lovely staff you ever can imagine. The place is still a little rough around the edges, but it’s work in progress - so we’re sure it’ll be perfect in no time! Lukasz was a great host, and we highly recommend Lanting Villas for your stay at Koh Rong.

Loved spending NYE here. They just finished the barbecue area in time for NYE and we got to have a lovely party with wonderful food and very pleasant company. Chea and his family are great, the vibe is awesome, the place is right on the village beach, very near the jetty where the ferry arrives. And it's an easy walk to the quieter and bigger beach, or up to the sunset viewing spot. Only minuses: the trash buildup around the island, and the mosquitos, especially in the bathroom (I got crazy bitten) meaning you have to douse yourself in repellant a few times a day if you're susceptible. Still, the value and the welcome and the peace and quiet were wonderful, and at this moment anyway, you are still able to find a secluded spot on the big beach away from other people where you can enjoy the incredible warm, calm water, while also having a good few dinner and bar options for later if you want to socialise. Ideal.

The best place to stay at in Koh Rong! Calm area with beautiful beaches, the staff at lanting villas was beyond our expectation. Everyone was very nice and showed us the best time. I would defiantly recommend this place!

Lukasz and Lenny were great! We had a very comfortable stay, everything was new and spotless. Soksan village was nice to walk around with an amazing beach. The tuk tuk driver we hired to get there did not want to take us the full way as there is a sandy spot. I recommend making tuk tuk arrangements with Lenny if possible to avoid that situation as tuk tuks can go the full way.

Beautiful, magical location. Chea was an incredibly hospitable host, always there to share a recommendation, story or have a chat. Easily the best accomodation on the island. Beautiful, spacious bungalows with a priceless view. Helped organise activities for us too. Wouldn’t hesitate to book this place again and will be recommending to anyone I meet who is visiting Cambodia.

Vi bodde tre nätter i bungalow på Sok Mean Bungalows. Värden är mycket trevlig, det går alltid att nå honom även om han inte är där och han har alltid ett leende på läpparna. Vi sökte en genuin liten by utan en massa stora hotell och många turister och då var vi på rätt ställe. Vi tyckte att madrasserna var bättre än på andra ställen (inte lika hårda) och det fanns hängmatta och tvättlina på altanen i bungalowen. Ingen AC, men en fläkt. Vi kan verkligen rekommendera det här enkla och trevliga stället och skulle gärna besöka det igen. Härlig känsla av gemenskap! Åk dit!

Tres beau séjour!! Lenny a été présent pour nous tout le long de notre hébergement. Petit resto/bas de l’autre côté de la rue qui fait très bien, bonne nourriture et bons drinks.

Chea was very friendly and a great host. He was quick to respond to messages beforehand and flexible with a change to our booking at short notice. We were met on arrival from the ferry and able to access the bungalows early in the morning on arrival which was very welcome. Everything was cleaned and ready and Chea was available throughout our stay to help with taxi boats, return ferry and other minor issues. He checked every day whether we needed anything and kayaks and masks were available to borrow for free. Facilities were basic but clean and functional exactly as described. Had a great stay and loved M'Pai, but be prepared to accept things as they are - this is not a sanitised tourist resort! Thanks and good luck with future plans for the site!
